Thrilled that this piece I love so much found a home in such a gorgeous journal. It’s about miscarriage and choice and orchards and organ transplants https://t.co/Y1phSbo2qC
Children are like that proverbial monk , following us around, whacking us on the head with their baseball bat or toilet plunger or whatever, reminding us: Now! Here! Now! This episode about care grounds me in the same way. https://t.co/dLMdXcztUX
As a child @KateBrodyAuthor was told that Maine was a place people ‘went to kill themselves’ (!?!?!?) and then she set her debut novel (paperback out tomorrow!) in Maine
Heeellllpppp! Daughter brought home wet tie-dyed tee in bag from party(that she had dyed herself😭), and I forgot all about it until she asked for it today, and I opened bag and discovered it is covered in mildew spots 😫😫😫 is there any way to fix???
Also, last year me REALLY needed to communicate the internal experience of a parent whose child is having a spectacular tantrum. I’ve got like 50 pages of tantrumming. This fictional kid doesn’t do anything but wail, shriek, growl, sob, whimper and bite
That feeling when you get feedback on a draft and think, ‘this person doesn’t get it at all’, and then you reread same draft 6 months later, and think, OH. SHIT. 😬😬😬😬😬😬whoopsie
