Daily Kendall George Update!
Dude had 4 hits yesterday, he also drew a walk, so he was on 5 times, and he scored 3 runs, and stole 3 bases. He leads the Texas League in stolen bases with 25, and he's been caught just 3 times.
George is doing things no other human can do! I had him at a little over 3.7 to 1st base on his infield hit to the 2nd baseman...GEEZ! He's hitting .346, his OPS is .850, his on-base percentage is .435 & he's scored 48 runs in 39 games.
Is that what a leadoff hitter is supposed to do? Askin' for a friend! #dodgers #dodgersprospects #kendallgeorge
Kendall George Staying Red Hot
⚾️ 4 consecutive multihit games
⚾️ 4 hits
⚾️ 3 steals
⚾️ .346 batting average
George is absolutely flying on the basepaths and making Double-A pitching look helpless.
Daily Kendall George, using his speed to create results update. KG had two hits last night, including one of his patented infield base hits to the shortstop, who was shading him up the middle. After that, that's where he got his first hit. George also stole 2 bases, although he did get caught once, and is now 22 for 25 on the year. He scored a couple of runs as well and has scored 45 runs in 38 games.
He raised his average to .329, OPS of .819, and has an on-base percentage of .419. #dodgers #dodgersprospects #kendallgeorge
Your daily Kendall George Speed Update!
George had 2 hits last night, and beat out a ground ball to the 2nd BASEMAN. The ball was to his right, granted, but still. And, what's crazy about that is George was right at 3.8-3.9 to 1st base, which is well below the times he's posted in the past. Ridiculous! I'm serious, I don't think I've ever seen anything like what his game has been since basically the All-Star Break of last year.
Well, then he stole his 20th base of the year, and is now 20-22 on the year, then also lobbed a base hit right in front of the left-fielder. George is THE BEST example of a player using their "carrying tool" to the maximum they possibly can, and creating an entire offensive game around it. Awesome stuff! #dodgers #dodgersprospects #kendallgeorge
Kendall George is THE FLASH!
So, check out how his speed changes the game for the defense. In the first hit in the video, George was 3.66 from home to first, which I digitally timed in my editing program, so that's not some stopwatch time with + and - of human error. To put that into perspective, "ELITE" speed from home to first for a pro is 3.8 to 4.0, and he's WELL below that on this hit. Relatively speaking, because 1/10s of seconds are HUGE in baseball timing.
Then, in his 2nd at bat, look how, because he can bunt, and then, also, because he's hit so many ground balls to the left side for base hits, the 3rd baseman had to play in, which made getting a ball through the infield much easier. Then, also, because he's done such a at developing his identity, Eric was able to send McLain, trust that George could protect him with contact, which he did. And, not to be too critical, but I have NO idea why Springfield chose to use their shortstop to cover. Understood that's the "default" to cover with the opposite field infielder, but if you've watched any of Kendall's offense this year, that's where he's made a living.
George also stole his 19th base of the season and is 19 for 21 on the year in stolen base opportunities.
Atta Baby Kendall, you keep doin' you, and we'll keep watchin', and havin' a HELLUVA time doin' it. #dodgers #dodgersprospects
Electric Sequence last night in Tulsa was put together by two highly rated prospects. Kendall George showed off his 80-grade speed by beating out an infield hit, then, 1 pitch later, Josue DePaula went yard to the opposite field. George was 3.76 from home to 1st, and that's despite the fact that he pulled up at the end once he realized he was safe.
Not only was he safe, but it also wasn't close! He had almost touched 1st base by the time the 2nd baseman fielded the ball.
That was FUN!
George is having an INCREDIBLE season, and so is Depaula, although he's slowed a touch, which was to be expected, so 0 concerns about that. AA is a tough jump, and he's made it look WAY easier than just about everyone else could have.
Well done, Boys...it was SHOWTIME Saturday Night in the Big City. #dodgers #dodgersprospects #josuedepaula #kendallgeorge
Kendall George has shown that his style of game plays at the AA level...Plus Some. In fact, plus 1000 SOMES. Through 30 games with AA Tulsa, he's slashing .328/.424/.378 with 18 stolen bases and a 127 wRC+. He's showing to be an elite table setter at the leadoff spot.
The carrying tool is obviously his speed. After stealing 100 bases in High-A last season, George already has 18 steals in 30 games while being caught just twice. His athleticism continues to impact games both on the bases and defensively in center field.
What’s most encouraging offensively is his on-base ability. George owns a .424 OBP with a manageable 17.9% strikeout rate, which I think needs to come down, but he's hitting .328. He’s also producing an enormous 68.5% ground-ball rate, which perfectly fits his speed.
There’s still very limited power in the profile, and he has yet to homer this season and has hit just four career homers in pro ball, but he's developed his game around what he does best, his speed. #dodgers #dodgersprospects #kendallgeorge
Kendall George had 3 hits today, and of course, he served them into left field. And, while they may look like good fortune, this is just what he does. He plays to his strengths, and is in the process of being the master on his profile, and it's a HECKUVA lot of fun to watch.
George is an elite table-setter, and that profile is showing up in Double-A
• AVG / OBP / OPS:
.390/ .478/ .933
➡️ OBP over .460 shows elite on-base ability and plate discipline
• Contact + Hit Tool:
30 hits in 77AB
➡️ High-contact approach translating immediately vs. upper-level pitching
• Run Creation:
21 runs scored in 77 AB
➡️ Scoring once every ~3.6 AB — top-of-the-order catalyst
• Speed Impact:
14 SB (in limited sample)
➡️ Aggressive baserunning + 80-grade speed drives pressure on defenses
• Power Profile:
0 HR, but .933 OPS
➡️ Value comes from contact + speed + OBP, not slug
Advanced Takeaways
• OBP + Speed- are carrying tools
• Run engine → High runs scored + stolen bases = constant pressure
• Hit tool translating → .390 AVG in early Double-A sample
• Speed is elite (80-grade) → game-changing on bases and in CF
Takeaways
➡️Kendall George is doing exactly what a leadoff hitter should in Tulsa:
No power needed, IMO — George is pure table-setting, and creates chaos, which then creates offense. #dodgers #dodgersprospects #kendallgeorge

He’s shown strong plate discipline with a very selective approach (33.7% Swing%). He’s flashed the leather out in CF as well.
Kenny George had 2 hits for AA Tulsa on Saturday, which was his 9th multi-hit game of the year. He raised his average to .388, his on-base percentage is .488, and his OPS is .921. He also stole 2 bases, and has now swiped 14 on the year.
George led the game off with a base hit, then immediately stole 2nd base, and that led to a 4-spot in the top of the 1st. And, THAT is WINNING baseball. #dodgers #dodgersprospects
Kendall George had ANOTHER multi-hit game last night for Tulsa, and, guess what, they were base hits through the left side, something he's mastered. In fact, last year, close to half of ALL of his 125 hits were ground ball hits through the left side.
George has 8 multi-hit games, has hits in 13 games, he's hitting .411, with an OPS of .971, he's walked one more time than he's struck out, his OBP is OVER .500, and he's scored 17 runs in 14 games.
I mean...HOLY WOW!
On the first pitch of the 2nd game, he squared to bunt, which drew in the 3rd baseman, then he used that to spike 3 hits through the left side. Home runs are fun, his style of game is FUNNER, IMO. #dodgers #dodgersprospects
Kendall George
