like what would be a game plan here: “boycotting” all llms? leaving the entire market to the closed weight providers? that doesn’t sound like a viable approach, it’s either open weight or nothing imo, the tech is not going away and too profitable/useful for the tech oligarchs, the only way to eat into that share is by providing an alternative because people and companies will just keep giving them money if there is no alternative to the closed weight stuff
