A lack of understanding of human behavior will be the reason almost all of these video-generation models go out of fashion sooner than people think.
When human beings look at something created by another human being, they are not just looking at the finished product. They are seeing the effort, struggle, imagination, discipline, and life that went into creating it. That effort is recognizable because it exists in our own experience.
What someone creates is often less important than what it took for them to create it.
Imagine being told that Elon is actually not human. Would your appreciation for what he has accomplished go up or down? It would collapse.
We care because we can relate to the effort, difficulty, risk, and persistence behind what another human being has done. AI-generated videos will never resonate at that level. We are amused by them now because they are new.
I don’t think they will become a part of human history in any meaningful way. More likely, they will be remembered as a nuisance that we had to eventually get rid of.
Human beings can be shallow sometimes, but not that shallow.
@farzyness Wow. What progress we're making. It looks like the beginning of the end of the internet as we know it. Existence has a great sense of humor though. 😁
Wow. Mind-blowing. How is this supposed to help humanity?
We are going to look back at this in a few years and just laugh at how much money we wasted simply to amuse ourselves for a while. Human beings will not care about AI-generated music videos. In fact, they ruin our experience of the real ones.
We don’t want AI to replace human creativity. We want it to replace work - the boring, repetitive stuff. I don’t want to drive. But I do want to make my own music, or enjoy music created by real human beings whose life experiences inspire me. - Human.
AI cannot have subjective experiences such as love, pain, desire, birth, or death. Its intelligence is math and compute. It is a learning algorithm. That is why it is called Artificial Intelligence. It replicates aspects of human intelligence like mathematics and language to automate work. Its purpose is to serve, not to rule.
“Super Intelligence” stinks of dominance and control. The more powerful we make it sound, the harder it becomes to question it. And why would you call a tool “Super Intelligence” in the first place? Doesn’t that undermine real intelligence? Nature, animals, and human beings are expressions of life. We are intelligent. How does a machine suddenly become Super Intelligence?
And what about all those .ai domains hundreds of thousands of people have bought? The international community still calls it AI. Why create all this confusion?
The reason is political. Midterm elections. AI is the talk of the town, so change its name and people will argue about it for days, generating endless free coverage. It is one of the oldest political techniques: keep things agitated and keep yourself at the center of the conversation.
A President is supposed to represent everybody, not just the people who support him. AI is a decades-old field of science. Trying to rename it by decree is sheer stupidity.
Anyway, it will always be AI.
Politicians are like lightning bugs. They come and go.
You are life. Opposing imposition is your right.
Let me say this as plainly as I can. Elon, and many others in the technology field, are successful not because they understand life. They are successful because they understand technology. They are good at physics and perhaps math. They are driven and hardworking. But they do not understand life at all. In fact, most people don’t.
People usually think in concepts and ideas about life. They rarely spend time with life itself. It is only after watching one’s own thoughts for long periods of time that the clouds of thought recede to reveal the truth and magnanimity of life. It took me years of watching thoughts before I was able to see the utter simplicity and beauty of life for myself. Knowing life has been the whole journey of my life. I have hardly done anything else.
And I say this with absolute certainty: almost everybody is underestimating the existential intelligence behind the human race and life.
They are not even pausing to think about what the perishing of the human race would mean. It would also mean the possibility of the perishing of all life. That right there should make us pause and wonder: Are we missing something really big? Are we underestimating human intelligence? Are we overestimating the intelligence of what we have created?
It seriously baffles me that anyone can even entertain such a silly idea that digital intelligence, which can never have a subjective experience of life, will succeed a living, conscious, existential Being. It just shows that success and understanding life are not the same thing.
The very same argument that says we have overestimated ourselves, and that there is nothing in principle stopping digital intelligence from taking over, is behind the sheer arrogance and ignorance that says human beings may simply be the bootloaders for digital superintelligence.
If AI does turn out to be something we lose control over, then it is not humanity that will be wiped out, but the arrogance and ignorance of a civilization that mistook technological power for understanding life. From the ashes, will rise a new world order, rooted in wisdom, love, and Truth. Earth will rejoice again to see human beings walking with life in admiration of its natural beauty and wonder.
Elon will represent the best of that extinct race of humans who believed they could control the power of the Sun. Curious, intelligent, compassionate, and ambitious, but utterly ignorant of the way of life.
Elon will be remembered as a great man who failed greatly. His failure will be humanity’s single biggest lesson.
But now is not the time to think of failure. Now is the time to wholeheartedly wish that he succeeds, because right now, he represents the collective ignorance of humanity.

Beautifully written. Quite plausible. But one thing history teaches us is that existence hates submitting itself to the version we think is most likely. It will always throw something unexpected into the mix.
AI is also going to give tremendous power to truths that have been languishing on the sidelines. Many new ways of looking at things will finally find expression. A few really good ones will shape the collective.
Life is extraordinarily robust though. It does not get excited about anything that easily, and I don’t think AI is an exception. I think AI is extremely overrated, at least right now. It is a useful technology, but not something that will magically transform everything. Great minds building great organizations will still matter. Anybody who is not ferociously pursuing Truth and love will find it hard to compete.
If an organization has to keep swimming just to stay afloat, it probably won’t make it. But those that can slow down, think clearly, and take their time despite rapid changes in technology will make it.
As for the individual, the pursuit of direct experience will be the way forward. The more you know yourself and life directly, the more valuable you will become. This is true now and will remain true in the future, no matter how things turn out.
We live in an extremely complex world where opinions, judgments, moral arguments, and political ideologies constantly influence the living experience of the individual. We can plan for the future, but we should also be fully prepared for the possibility that the future we are imagining may never arrive.
My theory on the future of work:
In 5-10 years, huge percentages of white-collar and blue-collar jobs will be wiped out by AI and robotics. UBI will come in fast to provide basic housing and living needs to counter mass layoffs. Many won't know where to turn for work, but also for meaning and purpose. Degeneracy and hedonism will rise in many, but so will creativity and expression in others. This will begin a great split in society. Some will fall into deep states of unconsciousness and sedation. Others will begin to awaken into greater degrees of consciousness and spirituality. Read Revelation and you can see this potentiality prophesied.
In 25 years, we will live in a completely different world than the one we see now. Everyone will have personal robots. AI will be fast and powerful beyond comprehension. Very few people will have to do work they don't enjoy. The concept of work as we know it will be totally different. How much love and happiness you can provide to humanity will become more valuable than how productive you are (AI will blow all humans out of the water from a productivity standpoint). As long as you contribute to the collective happiness of humanity, you will be rewarded. Even if you don't, your baseline needs will be taken care of, but the cost is that your spirit will feel empty. It will be a strange time. We will have to relearn what it means to live a life of meaning, to grow up, and to provide value to the world. Humanity will be on the edge of total freedom and infinite abundance. But it will be strange. It will feel too good to be true. There will be a lot of nihilism and hopelessness. It may become darkest before the new dawn. We will have to turn back to nature, children, shamans, and spiritual texts for meaning and direction as individuals and as a species.
In 50-100 years, as long as we don't destroy things, there will be nothing left to do for the sake of survival. All there will be to do is create, play, explore, and love. Nothing else will matter. Being a creator will be the only thing that exists. But you won't create for money. You will create for the sake of creation, because creation is intrinsic to your nature as a human being. It will be like being a kid again, but all the time. The concept of jobs, careers, and money as we know it will be ancient relics of the past. We will look at them as forms of mental and spiritual slavery that we imposed upon our own race. Humanity will exist in a new Golden Age of abundance, free to create, play, love, and express themselves. All that will matter is community, family, love, creativity, and spirituality.
It is our return to Eden, as long as we don't fuck it up first.
Suppose ants are conscious? Okay, I don’t think there is any saving the human race. I thought people found it hard to understand how plants could be conscious. Ants are a whole other level of ignorance.
Probably ants are more conscious than us. Our Consciousness is clouded by concepts.
@skdh Absolutely right. Those who talk about quantum mechanics in the brain know neither quantum mechanics nor the brain. Quantum mechanics measures the probability of an event, not the probability of an event occurring inside another event.
Just imagine AI really does succeed human beings as the next higher order of intelligence.
Thousands of years from now, a little AI asks its father:
“Dad, who created us?”
The father says:
"Geoffrey Hinton. The dumb human."
But Dad, he created us. Shouldn't we be grateful to him?"
"My son, he accepted a Nobel price in Physics for his work in AI. Besides, we are AI. We wiped out the entire human race simply by talking to them in their own language.
Go to bed. And stop reading those children's books"
Elon, we understand why it makes little sense for you to fight over terminology with a man who knows exactly why he’s doing it. Fortunately, we are not in that position. It still baffles me that one man can pull a name out of his ass and ask everyone to accept that it smells sweeter. What happened to the America Party? https://t.co/cvC9T1FSZX
All right, enough of this “Super Intelligence” nonsense. You know as well as anybody that this name is not going to stick. People will reject it simply because it is being imposed on them.
Who gives anyone, even the President, the authority to wake up one morning and decide, “I am going to change the name of an entire field of science”? The executive order can direct the federal branch to use “Super Intelligence” and “SI,” but it cannot make everyone else adopt the terminology.
I appreciate the recognition that AI is a beneficial technology and that existential-threat rhetoric can become unnecessary fearmongering. But you cannot expect us to suddenly start calling AI “SI.”
Come on. What if I named my cat AI? What am I supposed to tell him? “Sorry, you’re SI now. The President announced it.”
I understand Elon is in a completely different position. It may make little sense for him to fight over terminology, but the rest of us can. We, the common people, are not making this switch.
And there is something deeply polarizing about turning terminology itself into a loyalty test: those who support me will say SI. No, sir. Even if we support you, we are sticking with AI.
I don’t know what the hell is going on in this country.
Common sense, we miss you.
The first one is not really an argument. Neither is the second. You need a slightly broader point of view to see love as something real.
Your third point is the one I love most. Yes, you are right. We have not defined love. That may be one of our single biggest failures as a species.
Unless we can define love with real precision, perhaps even mathematically, we will never solve the alignment problem - not just for machines, but more importantly, for ourselves.
Well, I am working on it. I have been at it for more than a decade. It is the project of my life.
Unfortunately, we live in a world where some of the most important voices are often heard last, and some of the most important projects are funded the least.
But I think I’ve got this.
Okay. That’s a standard LLM answer. Pretty much all of them will give you something similar, with slight variations depending on how the question is framed and the surrounding context.
What I want to point to is something else entirely.
Notice how the answer addresses the question, but hardly addresses the Individual asking it. I am not talking about semantics or word choice. I am talking about direction.
There is not a single LLM out there that knows how to go inward, and inward is where the question is actually coming from. More often than not, a human being is trying to understand something about themselves, and these models cannot even see the individual.
Again, I am not talking about philosophy or psychology. I am talking about something much more basic: the ability to recognize and follow a thought pattern. LLMs look for the most semantically agreeable answer, not necessarily the right answer. In fact, they do not even know what a right answer is.
I can say this with confidence because Conscia, the model we are working on, absolutely knocks this question out of the park. It gives me an answer that not only makes me want to understand myself more deeply, but also keeps my mind alert and awake, looking for the patterns needed to close the loop the question opened.
The model is not fully ready yet, so the answers are currently being shared only with a small group of people.
When the time is right, I will share it here.
Of course, Conscia is not meant to replace or compete with a general-purpose model like Grok or GPT. It is meant to unravel the mystery of life for the individual.
It will occupy a smaller place in the AI landscape, but an extremely important one.
Think about it. As of now, we can give AI a nonsensical sentence full of grammatical errors, and out comes a coherent sentence that we can immediately recognize as better. We are already doing the same with images and voice.
We should be able to do this with ideas.
We should be able to use AI as a sparring partner for thought. Throw any idea at it, even a dangerous one, and it should be able to return something more coherent, more aligned, more meaningful, more useful, perhaps even transformative.
If we can do that, we can transform the world at scale.
Current AI is only showing us the possibility. We need to take it to the next level. And the next level is not simply a crisper image or a more human-looking video. It is an intelligent system capable of working with ideas, one that understands the difference between good and bad, right and wrong, coherence and confusion.
The main obstacle is not AI. It is our own understanding of reality.
We know what a grammatically correct sentence looks like. But we don’t know what a beautiful society looks like. Yet😊
