I believe that Melinda was raped. She was drunk so she could not give consent. If a guy has sex with a girl that doesn´t want to have sex that is rape.
#tollgvms Listening with intent and listening to reply are very different. Listening with intent is listening so that you can learn something or become more educated on a subject. Like listening to a video in school. Listening to reply is like being in an argument with somebody.
#tollgvms Mr. Freeman and Melinda are parallel characters because they are both going through hardships right now. Melinda has been depressed from the start of the year and Mr. Freeman´s depression has just started.
#tollgvms I believe that her parents should have done more. They should have a better talk about her cutting. They did not take it even close to as serious as they should have.
#tollgvms I feel that parents should talk to their kids about these kinds of things. If kids are going through something hard it is good to talk to somebody about it.
#tollgvms I believe that America should have open borders and should let in everyone unless they are criminals. Everybody should be able to cross the border because America was founded by immigrants. We just need to not let anyone who is an ex con or wanted.
#tollgvms I believe that the author used her to cover the mirror because she got raped too and they both stopped talking or speaking. Maya Angelou is going to serve as an inspiration to Melinda. It will show Melinda that there is hope for her.
#tollgvms Q8: The reason why we miss these signs is because we think that we know the people close too us and we don't think that these people in our life could be struggling. Some of these signs are being really quit and grades slipping.
#tollgvms a6: I think that she stayed silent because she was scared that if she told anyone people would hate her more and she would have to talk about it. She doesn't want to talk about it. She wants the whole thing to have just not happend.
#tollgvms a5: Their relationship ended because Melinda called the cops at the party and is hated at the high school. Rachel does not want to be friends or seen with someone that everybody hated. They still have hope of becoming friends though.
