It was a pleasure to attend the Graduation Day of the 6th Cohort of the Heritage Learning Programme.
I am truly grateful to Sabin Rongpipi for inviting me to be part of this meaningful occasion. It was inspiring to witness young minds learning about our heritage, culture, community, environment and identity beyond the boundaries of textbooks.
I have always believed in supporting initiatives that empower our youth and help them connect with their roots. I will continue to extend my support in the years to come.

For many years, the absence of adequate educational facilities in our area meant that many children had limited opportunities to continue their studies. Many had to leave their homes at a very young age and travel to places such as Nagaon, Hojai and Guwahati in search of education and better opportunities. Unfortunately, due to financial hardship and the lack of accessible schools, some children were pushed into child labour, working at an age when they should have been sitting in classrooms, learning and building their dreams.
Over the years, we have also witnessed heartbreaking incidents, the unfortunate loss of our sister Sumila Ronghang remains a painful memory for our community, along with many other such incidents that remind us why accessible education and a safe environment for our children are so important.
Today, we are determined to change this reality. With existing schools being strengthened, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya creating greater opportunities for our girls, and more schools and a college coming up, education is gradually becoming accessible closer to home.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. @TuliramRonghang , Hon'ble CEM, KAAC & MLA, for his visionary leadership and continued support in strengthening the education sector in Chingthong.

A dream for Chingthong is slowly becoming a reality. Step by step, we are laying the foundation for a stronger and more inclusive education system and I am confident that this year and the years ahead will bring meaningful change for our students. With the upcoming Chingthong-Amri Model Degree College, the strengthening of our schools and the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya empowering young girls through quality education, we are creating new opportunities for the next generation.
Today, I visited schools and interacted with members of the public and party workers. I also held discussions on the challenges ahead and the collective efforts needed to improve education and ensure a brighter future for our children. I sincerely thank Dr. @TuliramRonghang , Hon'ble CEM KAAC & MLA, for his visionary leadership and unwavering support in transforming the education sector. Together, we remain committed to providing better educational opportunities and building a brighter future for the people of Chingthong.
