@_mrchaturvedi That's what I felt too. The best stream I witnessed during this WC has to be the German Fussball 4k in Dolby Vision and Atmos. But it is often unavailable. Fox 4k and BBC stream is more reliable.

Dear @AdityaDharFilms, #Dhurandhar looks incredible, and India finally has worldclass 4K Laser cinemas ready to do justice to your visuals. But if @JioStudios sends out shitty 2K DCP like always, the movie will still earn money, but your true vision will never reach the audience. Low resolution 2K DCPs are disrespectful to the thousands of people who worked 16-18 hours a day to make sure they got every detail right. Now it’s in your hands, raise your voice, make sure the producers create good 4K DCPs and send out to every cinema. It’s in your hands to do justice to your own creation and the audience who are paying to watch it in cinemas.

I used to get upset when a movie I didn’t value got limelight. Over time I realised everyone comes from different worlds, which shapes their unchangeable preferences. What’s pointless to me, can matter to someone else! I can force someone to watch a movie but can’t force them to enjoy it.

Calling your own taste in movies “elite” or “better developed” while dismissing others as “poor taste” or “backward” isn’t just entitled, it comes across as condescending toward people who simply want to relax with a fun movie after a long week. Not everyone is looking for layered subtext or intellectual cinema. Majority just want to laugh with their family or enjoy a clean commercial entertainer.

Blaming the audience for giving more footfalls to slapstick comedies or action thrillers over film-festival-style movies is unfair. People spend their limited time and limited money on what appeals to them. Expecting everyone to prefer arthouse cinema is like expecting every home to display abstract art instead of posters of cars, bikes, or actors they personally like. Taste is shaped by background, mood, and priorities… none of which make someone wrong or lesser.

If you love high-concept, intellectual cinema, great… more power to you. But there’s a much bigger world outside your niche circle. The “massy” films you keep trashing genuinely entertain millions, while the artistic films you champion, often offer nothing to that audience, except boredom.
