In these 38 years Dr. Fauci advised on EIGHT major outbreaks:

- Avian influenza/bird flu (primarily H5N1)
- West Nile virus
- MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome)
- Ebola
- Zika
- Chikungunya

Dr. Fauci also advised on THREE major pandemics:
- HIV/AIDS
- 2009 H1N1 influenza (swine flu) — Officially declared a pandemic by the WHO
