@HansFiene Pr. Wendorf helped a woman divorce her husband without any justification, then issued her a call as a DCE after she was excommunicated from her home congregation. He refused to speak to her husband. He was just re-elected as Area C VP of the Texas District.
Before I got married I had to run a single load of laundry every two weeks, using a washer and dryer, which subtracts about like 95% of the labor and time it took to do that before those existed, then I tossed socks in the sock drawer, boxers in that drawer, hung my shirts, folded my jeans and shorts, boom done. This took like 25 minutes. I’d do a separate load for towels every so often.
After I got married my wife would have multiple laundry bins around the house, clean, dirty, mystery, she’d mix them up, procrastinate on them, the laundry machine was running every day, the baskets that needed to be sorted and put away piled up, she’d be shoving them in the closet, she’d forget which was which, clothes would fall out onto the floor and become “dirty” again, get washed again, she’d wear clothes out of her clean bins, start putting clothes away and leave the clothes sorted all over the couches overnight, put half of them away the next day, start sorting another bin, clothes on the couch for days, she also, like most women, owns more clothes than she actually has room for in the closet. I started to realize that she was using the laundry bins to store the clothes. She couldn’t actually put them all away if she wanted to. She’d fill up “give away bags” put them in her trunk, leave them in her trunk, procrastinate on going to goodwill. She stores clothes in bins in my garage. This has only been magnified by 10x since having kids. I keep my laundry completely separate from the rest of the families laundry, because if I lose a pair of favorite sweatpants to her laundry backlog I will not see it for a month or longer. I still fill up a single bin twice a month and wash it separately, early in the morning.
My wife sounds like she has the executive function of a squirrel but, oddly, laundry is the only thing this extends to. It has annoyed me our whole marriage but that’s kind of as far as it goes. Just a mild annoyance. Because I’m a man. Now stop for a moment and think “if-the-roles-were-reversed.” Imagine a man putting his wife through this. Imagine what other women would say. They’d say she was being raped. Abused. Stabbed with psychic knives. They’d tell her to kill him while he sleeps. But in my world, I’m just a little annoyed by the fact that there’s always several bins of laundry in the master bedroom at any given time. This is the way a man loves. And FOIDS could never begin to understand.

@CrankyFed@WASPmexicano Eli McGowan posted about how when he’s traveling he’ll call the LCMS churches in the area to see if they’ll commune Presbyterians (and has had success). It’s generally not reformed communions that want to join with us, but reformed individuals who think our doctrine is hateful.
@nickycantaloupe You’re not able to follow the argument that it’s inconsistent to accept accounts that contradict present scientific consensus when they’re presented by church tradition but not when they’re presented by God in His Word?
There is no legitimate explanation as to why ICE operations would have a chilling effect on the legal workforce.
It’s either demagoguery or an admission of guilt. Perhaps a quick examination of the paperwork will reveal their workforce isn’t actually legal.
I will never forget the email Todd forwarded while he was still working at Microsoft. It outlined the basics of hygiene, why you need deodorant, there wasn't a caste system in the US & why you don't haggle with the cafeteria staff. The target demographic wasn't the white employees
@nolibertarians I’m sympathetic to arguments about the morality of altering DNA.
That said, if one is not opposed to gene therapy in principle, then there is no remaining objection to this treatment.
I didn’t have the numbers before to prove it, but this is the answer to “why doesn’t ICE go to Texas?” It’s because they’ve been there the whole time. You just don’t hear about it when the state government cooperates with them.
DHS is reducing your rent, especially in states that cooperate with @ICEgov.
Texas accounted for about a quarter of ICE arrests in July and posted the country’s sharpest rent drops, with San Antonio down 4.8%, Austin 4.3%, Dallas and Houston about 3%.
Miami’s average rent is down 2.6%.
Phoenix is down 4.2%.
Atlanta is down 3.2%.
Nashville is down 5.3%.
New Orleans is down 8%.
Research shows that illegal-worker inflows push rents and home prices up. That inflow has been reversed in the states running the hardest interior enforcement.
Want lower cost of living: support mass deportations.
🚨 NEW: Colorado Republican nominee for governor Victor Marx has called abortion “evil” and “occultic.”
He supports a total abortion ban with no exceptions for rape, incest or the life of the mother.
@AquinasApologia@AmerRef1517 “God promises us that false teachers will arise in the Church but that His Word will not by any means fall away. Therefore, I should trust the teachers in the Church unwaveringly and hold the Word of God in submission to them.”
Yes, very convincing.
“Paying attention to the Words God gave us sounds like a good idea until I convince you God isn’t capable of recording for us the Words He wanted us to hear and you have to just take my word for it on every doctrine.”
