@ConspiracyHeroX@BBCBreaking@gwat197 There is a huge difference between boarding a large ship with space to board and an overcrowded, overgrown lilo. The Navy even said it wasn’t practical. So you are left with bringing them onboard from the small boat and bingo they are a uk problem.
@ConspiracyHeroX@BBCBreaking@gwat197 Well many years of handling small boats tells me that short of getting out the threats (guns) it’s just not going to work. Any solution involving violence will breech international agreements and cause a political nightmare. Weakness and strength doesn’t come into it.
@ConspiracyHeroX@BBCBreaking@gwat197 So now you have a choice rescue in which case they are on a British boat and have to be taken to a British port or become national & international bad boys and let them drown. Or you could get the guns out earlier and cut straight to illegal territory. Either way it’s not easy.
@ConspiracyHeroX@BBCBreaking@gwat197 You try to push it (this really doesn’t work with small boats they go in all directions especially if the people on board aren’t helping). If you get some success they slit the boat and you have a bigger issue.
@Tomo674005@BBCBreaking Bizarrely it’s possibly easier to board and stop an unarmed large vessel than it is an overloaded small one that is determined not to comply.
@ReconGhostMedia@LiamVolos@BBCBreaking How would that work? They refuse to turn around so what do you do next? You cant get on board to take it in tow and even if you did they slash the boat then you have to take them on board and bingo they are the uk’s problem. I know it sounds easy but if it was someone would have.
@5813cf9e38904f@packe46065@SkylarSkye3 But that’s just internet stupidity whilst meanwhile everyone knows American food is processed to hell and back, unhealthy, is served in stupidly huge amounts and generally is unwholesome.
@wacomup@ILuvXiJinping@Blake_Allen13 That’s pretty meaningless without information on how it’s calculated. For example if it contains property value it will be vastly different in different countries and misleading as it is a very fixed asset.
@the_ason@ILuvXiJinping@Blake_Allen13 Whilst I wouldn’t disagree on most of your post you really need to qualify your 7$ a day statement as it doesn’t take into account the cost of living. I have no idea but, if they can live on $5 per day they would be, locally, rich.
