Loving this quote (one of many other epically good ones to illustrate points made) from @gavinoattes new read: A head full of everything- inspiration for teenagers with the world on their mind.
I asked a first year pupil to explain what she knew about armistice day…. Before our two minute silence on Monday, “ it is a day when soldiers and veterinarians are remembered for what they did in the war” We corrected that little glitch and moved on…
I’ve started reading Mick Herron’s Book, Slow Horses. A ‘captivating’ read it says…all well and good, but by p.14, I’m staggered by the misuse of the apostrophe.
Do @BaskervilleJMP no longer proof read their published texts?
@vicgoddard Shocking- disappointing and clearly a disgusting misjudgment by SLT.
Name that school; they should be utterly ashamed. I wish your sister a happy and fulfilling retirement and respect in whatever she does from now on. 👏👏🙌
Sad to hear about the passing of @Rob7Burrow what a guy. He made me aware of @mndassoc and this terrible disease. His legacy both on and off the 🦏field, his memory and charitable legacy will live on. Thoughts with his family. #mnd#robburrows
Just had my first ever golf lesson. To be fair even I was astounded that I hit it first time and then got a nice 134yds. Impressive technology they use nowadays. Think I have found my new sporting love. The thwack noise, so cool. Never to old to start eh? #teachertwitter#golf
Got to know some more pupils at an all girl session @AdvSnowsports yesterday. They got tasters in both skiing and snowboarding. Thanks to the coaches Stuart and Ramone for their patience and to Jamie for his excellent organisation. A great day, though we got soaked on way back!
@RetirementTales I still have my @ParkerPens at home and an Osmiroid italic nibbled number. More recent bought some fab @fabercastell fountain pens and the new Parker hooded nib number all from the fabulously fabulous @cultpens
