I think today could be capitulation day in hype stock land.

We’ve seen 30% - 50% pull backs already in a lot of momentum stocks.

Many of those aren’t real businesses and will never recover.

Some legit companies were simply way over valued.

If we get another 10% - 20% drop in $NBIS and $IREN I will likely add 1% - 2% to each. Bringing my combined allocation to them to 10% or so.

To raise that cash I’d likely sell some $AMZN which is down far less.

I’m not bearish on $AMZN but if those two stocks get to 50% off their previous highs, I feel good about the risk-reward of allocating a bit more to them.

Nebius didn’t really miss revenues it was just that Wall Street had the wrong estimations. Nebius was completely sold out of all their current capacity due to such high demand.

Any capacity they bring on is sold right away and had to say no to customers due capacity. If dilution scares you then you should not be invested in hyper growth stocks. These dilutions aren’t going towards nothing they are going towards further growth.

Each data center is bringing in contracts with the Hyperscalers so this is very impressive and we will get more deals this is just the start.

This isn’t Arkady’s or the team’s first time building a big company they have done it before and they have top level engineers from Yandex. Yandex was pretty much Google, Spotify, Google maps/weather, Uber, Amazon of Russia, Gmail of Russia, PayPal of Russia all in one. So for that I highly trust the management and they were very knowledgeable and answered so many questions during earnings call with confidence, the team is phenomenal..

Each time I invest in companies I always look at the management and how they execute and the Nebius team is amazing. Because frankly the company you Invest in is reflected by the team’s execution.

The Wegovy world tour adds another stop, planting its flag in one of Asia's wealthiest and most densely populated cities.

Novo Nordisk ( $NVO) has officially launched its blockbuster weight-management drug, Wegovy, in Hong Kong. The once-weekly injectable is now available in private clinics for adults and, notably, for adolescents aged 12 and older who meet the clinical criteria for obesity or are overweight with related health conditions. The company is positioning the drug as a key medical intervention for what it terms an "escalating health burden" in a city where over half the adult population is considered overweight or obese.

My Take

This is a well done execution of a global pharmaceutical rollout. Hong Kong is is a strategic city in Asia with high per capita income and a Westernised healthcare system. By securing approval for adolescents, Novo Nordisk is playing the long game, establishing a potential customer base for decades to come.

The entire communications strategy is centered on medicalising obesity as a chronic disease, a necessary step to shift public perception from a lifestyle issue to a treatable condition. This simultaneously builds the market and justifies premium pricing. This move is less about the immediate revenue from a single city and more about establishing a regional precedent for regulatory approval and market acceptance. And that's great for both - health of the people, and the company itself.

Verdict: Bullish

The empire expands, one city-state at a time. :)
