@AMMWWII I know most served due to responsibility and patriotism. The recognition is for them but also for future generations to understand and see the contributions to the war effort of WWII.

@AMMWWII I did not know that. These men played a major part in the War and it seems they have never received the proper accolades. The greatest generation that served in the Merchant Marines need this recognition before its too late.

@AMMWWII I would probably need to reapply to get them. I spoke with my aunt and grandmother and they have been lost over the years. I never saw them. It was time that he really didn't speak about.

@AMMWWII I understand exactly what you are saying. My grandfather was wounded in action and for a time was MIA and presumed dead. I can only imagine what these men went through. Recognition is needed. Thank you for what you are doing.
