This morning, I presented the 2027 Bayelsa State Appropriation Bill of One Trillion, Two Hundred and Forty-Two Billion, Six Hundred and Eighty-Eight Million, Nine Hundred and Seventy Thousand, Five Hundred and Twenty Naira, Twenty-Two Kobo (₦1,242,688,970,520.22 ) only for the consideration and approval of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly.
The 2027 Appropriation Bill christened, “Budget of Assured Prosperity for Sustainable Growth and Development” is 22 per cent higher in figures than the 2026 budget.
Of the ₦1.242 trillion budget proposal, a sum of ₦840.79 billion representing 68% of the total is allocated to capital expenditure, while ₦401.90 billion (32%) is for recurrent expenditure. This underscores our commitment to channeling more resources into projects and infrastructure that directly impact our people.
Our priorities include roads and bridges, education, healthcare, electricity, agriculture, security, and other critical sectors that drive sustainable development.
As we enter Bayelsa’s fourth decade, our focus remains on consolidating the gains already made, completing ongoing projects and opening new opportunities for our people.
The 2027 budget is not just figures; it is a commitment to a future where our communities are connected, our economy grows and prosperity is accessible to all.
Interestingly, while the 2026 Budget has helped to bridge communities, improve power supply and advance roads long awaited by our people, the 2027 Budget is designed to build on that progress and complete what we have started in various sectors.
Together, we will continue building a Bayelsa of sustainable growth and development.
While in the premises, I took time to inspect ongoing construction of the new Assembly Complex.
Let me appreciate Mr. Speaker and other members of the State House of Assembly for the harmonious relationship we have shared in the past years. Thank you.
Happy New Month Bayelsans!
Welcome to the month of November, 2026, our month of the State Annual Thanksgiving.
Let’s continue to appreciate this good God for His love, mercy, and grace upon this land and its citizens.
We must work together to sustain the peace and security we have built over the past few years, especially at this time of political activities.
The Government of Assured Prosperity is ever committed to building a greater, united, and prosperous Bayelsa State.
May Almighty God continue to bless this land of promise as we pray for peaceful campaigns and elections in the coming months. Amen. Nua!
Governor @govdouyediri is miles ahead, when we talk about sincerity in governance. Gov. Diri constructed the Opolo-Elebele road (also called Saipem road), the very road on which Dickson has a house.
Today, Bayelsans are enjoying steady power supply from state-owned gas turbine source. Thanks to our miracle governor. There are projects everywhere in Bayelsa; flagship projects, and grass-roots developmental projects.
Governor Dickson, in his time, unjustifiably slashed salaries of civil servants, and though I am not one, I know that is an experience civil servants do not wish to have anywhere, anytime.
Governor Diri is a fine gentleman who doesn't throw shades or engage in witch-hunt, even in politics. But obviously, he is being stoked or shoved. Hope he wouldn't be blamed if he decides to match the energy?
Even if it's a season of politics, caution must not be thrown to the wind. Decorum must be applied!
@grok@nitesh_gup84386 So @grok could not see/notice that the object that was immersed in the liquid ("chemical"), wasn't the same as the one that was brought out? Clearly AI generated! Just surprised Grok couldn't state the obvious.
Dear @grok, please what's the real name of the lady in this photo, who did an "ashawo by night, C.E.O. by day" video? And what is/are her name(s) on social media platforms?
Where is she from? What's her family name! What's her qualification? Which schools did she attend?
What business is she a C.E.O. of?
@grok
So, this Calabar man of a joker that has the intention of becoming Nigeria's president, thinks that Bayelsa, the capital of the Ijaw nation, the heart of the Niger Delta can't be developed?
Even called my governor "a local champion"?!
Sir, your ambition is DOA, anytime, any day!
Almighty God, I want to say a big THANK YOU. Thank You for how far You’ve brought me and how far more You are taking me. I return all the glory and honour back to You.
Happy Birthday to me.

Yes, NAFDAC is not working! This is just one out of too many that have escaped into the market. Almost everything out there is fake. We're just surviving by the grace of God.
#HappeningNow NAFDAC has uncovered a suspected counterfeit production facility at Zamfara Plaza, BBA Trade Fair Complex, Lagos State.
Two suspects were arrested at the scene while allegedly revalidating energy drinks and popular wine and whisky brands.
More details to follow shortly.
