Last year I walked down Stanley Front Street with Nigel Farage.

The town I was raised in. Where my grandfather mined the coal, and his father before him, and his before that. I have watched it decline my whole life.

Then one man turns up and gives our people something Labour never bothered to. Hope.

And that is exactly why they want him gone. They cannot beat him at the ballot box, so they are trying to bury him under a mountain of smears instead. His health. Things he supposedly said as a boy. And now his security being funded before he was a parliamentarian.

Here is the truth they will not print. This is a man whose home was firebombed. A man the state will not lift a finger to protect. So the protection has to be paid for, because the same establishment screaming about who funds it is the same establishment that left him to face the mob alone.

They would rather he had no security at all. Ask yourself why.

Now look at the faces of those three lads coming off the building site on that street we call home. That is what belief looks like. You will never catch Labour getting a welcome like that. Not in a town like ours, not anymore. Not ever again.
