Tanzania's 🇹🇿 President John Magufuli never left Africa on a single state visit in his 6 years as President.
He visited only 8 African countries Rwanda (twice), Uganda (three times), Kenya, South Africa, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, and Namibia.
While other African leaders flew to Europe, America, and Asia for state trips, Magufuli stayed on the continent and made it a policy. He banned foreign travel for all government officials in his first week in office.
The government saved $430 million in just one year from that single decision.

This is Abushe, a boy from the town of Jinka, Ethiopia 🇪🇹. His eye color is genetic and runs in the family. Abushe has caught the attention of photographers and people around the world because of his rare blue eyes.
He was named one of the 88 people with the most beautiful eyes in the world! We had the opportunity to photograph Abushe at our hotel, and he was very pleasant to work with—somewhat shy, respectful, and sweet!
Tragic that of the world's 730 million people without electricity 600 are Africans. Good that some donors stepping up to provide renewable mini-grids. But this shows again the incredible contribution of Ethiopia's GERD, financed by Ethiopians, not donors!
