I am a Nigerian who is concerned of the current state of my country as well as its future. Rather complain I want to work with other youths on solutions.
President Tinubu approves a 30–80% salary increase for armed forces personnel, which will take effect from September 1, 2026.
Under the new structure:
Officers above the rank of Colonel (Brigadier-Generals, Major-Generals, Lieutenant-Generals and Generals) will receive a 30 per cent increase.
Personnel from Colonel down to Warrant Officer will get a 50 per cent increase.
Rank-and-file personnel from Private to Staff Sergeant will enjoy an 80 per cent increase.
The adjustment will raise the annual salary bill for the armed forces from ₦660 billion to ₦924 billion.
Today, I will post my endorsement of President Bola Tinubu for a second term. It’s a decision based on my personal conviction that the long-term reforms, strategic vision and ongoing achievements of his administration deserve continuity to deliver their full benefits to Nigeria.
They are shopping for strong voices who will condemn the President to the advantage of the desperate rag doll of the mob.
The moment you speak against their agenda (religious and ethnic bigotry), they must seek to paint you as the enemy of the country. The same country they wish evil upon on the daily because their ethnic-power-grab agenda failed woefully.
Keep them in your prayers. 😇
@osazenoo On point, that is just the fact about choosing a leader. Rote statements about competence, capacity, and character alone do not make the person fit for purpose; the candidate needs to show us they understand the challenges and problems and outline the solution path.
We need a President backed by a proven economic team and seasoned technocrats; not one surrounded by online activists with zero governance or economic credentials.
Governance is not protest organizing.
PBAT created two new Army Divisions in two Christian-dominated states - Taraba and Benue. The Bishop didn't care about this.
PBAT said he is working on state police to address local challenges. This didn't matter to the Bishop
PBAT said ASUU hasn't gone on strike in almost 4 years, and Students are receiving upkeep stipends. Bishop didn't care.
PBAT said that the economy is turning the corner. The Bishop kept hammering on poverty, the same poverty they complained to GEJ and PMB about. PBAT said he didn't create poverty in Nigeria and that he is putting Nigeria on a sustainable path to prosperity. He didn't say Nigeria has arrived at prosperity.
The Bishop ran immediately to Arise TV to talk about INEC and the president's re-election. If you want to be a politician, join politics. After all Father Illia, the governor of Benue is a Catholic Priest.
Edo state was the headquarters of Peter Obi’s movement in 2023.
But right now, the majority are expressing their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This coach is not just coaching those kids... He's coaching us all.
What a man!!!
Don't look at other's pace and position focus on your own grind.
There's no first to reach in life. The goal is to be present in the circle of influence
May the universe make it easy for us 🙏
We know the forests....
"Congratulations on the Oriire Oyo State rescue that succeeded. I think we succeeded with your support, prayers, and I agree with you that we should commend the men and women of the armed forces for their excellent performance.
“We refused to pay ransom. We have the geography of the forest. We know what it is. Each event teaches us new method, opens our eyes, challenges us to examine and re-examine our architecture, our strategies, our map and operations.
“From eight divisions, we are now moving to 12 divisions to shorten the response time, to give that response time the teeth that is needed for us to defeat terrorism and banditry. There will be state police. And as state police will have guardrails from abuses. We protect it from abuses.
“We are equally enhancing the capacity and capability of the forest guards. They are not just to chase antelopes and animals. We are going to have them chase the criminals and deal with them in various forests...." President Bola Tinubu.
This is what Nigeria need. A president with full confident
