Especially between the two fan bases. Purdue runs great stuff and has a coach that stayed loyal. A lot of parallels there.

It’s not a zero sum game. Both can achieve great success without being a threat to each other.

I will never, and I mean never, understand the hate on teams like Purdue and Gonzaga where they try to play the game the right way. I see so much toxicity in the sports sphere as it stands today. Losers on this app come out of the woodwork to shit on players for being genuine. 🤦‍♂️

@dannyoneil DiMaggio is an interesting comp with the Monroe marriage. I think Clark brings new audiences into the women’s game and she puts the women’s game on the map. I think it also matters she’s a female icon so that makes her influential. There are fewer of those.

Tony Bennett is one of my favorite coaches to watch and root for (unless against the Zags). The guy had class, grace, humility and a brilliant mind for the game. I always had huge respect for how he went about his business. Wish he wasn’t leaving, but he certainly deserves it!

@LinksGems @Sand_Valley Just loved the Lido. Really quite amazing. It’s a course I felt like I’d appreciate playing over and over again. Probably my first CB design I’ve played, unless you count Old Mac at Bandon. It made me appreciate how well Old Mac captures CB’s legacy.

It’s not hyperbole to say Lido is a big kid course and from a turf and golf architecture standpoint holds up to any great course I’ve ever seen or played (and I’ve been lucky to play some elite golf courses). Definitely one of my favorites.
