They do this work because there are no other opportunities left.

When delivery riders start making equal money as PhD holders, it shows that degrees are pointless. And, we as a society have stopped valuing education.

This creates a system= people devalue education = less focus on research= low competitiveness = you get Instagram consumption economy.

Only way to earn becomes: "blue collar jobs" or "get ready with me" influencers.

They think: "oh since, I consume all things in India only, how does the fall of rupee (compared to USD) matter to me?"

Try to educate them, you'd be bashed.

What this does is: it gives a great opportunity to keep the market sideways. And, keep the hope alive.

See: the market might not fall by 30%. It could simply move in a range with 15%+ up over the next 3 years. With currency depreciating by another 15%.

Your net returns are effectively 0.
But, since the market shows a +15%
Most folks would be quite okay with this.
