A lot of my friends won't like this, and that's OK. I love you guys.
When we were in school, we were taught that doctors are the leaders of the medical team.
I held that with a huge sense of responsibility and privilege.
But somewhere along the line, I found out that everyone started clamouring for equal authority without the same degree of responsibility and accountability.
The stakes are simply not the same across board, and pretending otherwise hasn't helped anyone, at least, not our patients.
@hinakijnr I think with regards to medication errors, the years practiced and grade of the physician should be taken into consideration so that we can solve the problem within us as physicians.
@manLikeKLU@PJosaiah Let’s make comparisons on the postgraduate training of both groups (I am not saying one is better) so that there is clarity. The comparison should be made with subcategories such as HEMATOLOGY, PATHOLOGY etc and let us all decide for ourselves.
@PJosaiah Why don’t you post the “3 year program at physicians and surgeons” that will help all of us make a better comparison. Those claiming they want to be “HEAD” is because of that curriculum, isn’t that so.
