MỌ́ FI IKA SAN OORE: DON'T USE WICKEDNESS TO PAYBACK KINDNESS
There are many generous men and women who have decided not to continue offer help to the needs because of their experiences over the time. Ọpọlọpọ ọmọ Ènìyàn jẹ a mú oore súni se "Many human being are ingrates who can make you give up in offering assistance". They will crying to you for help and when you help them, they will try to outsmart you. Moreso, Ifa loves a person that is kind to his fellow men or women. He promises all kind-hearted persons that He will not let them down.
Let's use one of Ifá verses from the Odù Ifá OGBÈ ÒSÁ to teach ourselves wisdom and how people behave when they need your and how they rewards you after.

THE STORY
Ìkokò (Hyena) was going on his daily hunting business. He went to consult Ifá. He could find his daily food was why he consulted Ifa. The Ifá Priests advised Ikoko to perform sacrifices for him not to enter the trap of the human being. Ìkokò did not perform the sacrifices recommended for him. He went to the forest looking for food.
On his way to the forest, he entered the pit trap that human being had dug for him. All the people that were seeing Ikoko inside the pit could not help him because Ìkokò is a wicked person who would eat them after saving him.
Ẹyá went to consult Ifá. He went to his daily business safely and return safely was why he consulted Ifa. The Ifá Priests advised Ẹyá to perform sacrifices that he would find his daily food and return safely. They told Ẹyá to be helping people. Ẹyá performed all the sacrifices recommended for him.
On his way to farm, Ẹyá saw Ikoko inside the pit. Ìkokò called on Ẹyá to help him out of the pit. Ẹyá replied Ikoko that he could not help him because after saving him he would use him as food. He continued to beg Ẹyá to help him. Because Ifa had advised Ẹyá to be helping others, Ẹyá put his long tail in the pit and Ìkokò held it and climbed up from the pit.
After Ẹyá had been rescued, he caught Ẹyá by the neck. He said that he had been inside the pit for five days without food. He must kill him. Ẹyá started begging for his life. Ìkokò didn't listen. However, Ẹyá had given offering to Èṣù before he left home. Èsù met them where they were having altercations and asked for what happened.
Ẹyá narrated how he met Ìkokò in the pit and how he saved him. But he wanted to killed him after he had saved him. Èsù faced ikoko and asked him what happened. He said the same thing. Èsù told Ikoko to calm down that Ẹyá was for him to devour but before he did that he wanted Ikoko to put Ẹyá on his armpit and clamps his hands and say "I shake off lost". Ìkokò complied. Again, Èsù instructed Ikoko to raise his hands and say "I reject suffering". As Ikoko did that, Ẹyá ran away from the arms of Ìkokò.
This was how Èsù Odara saved Ẹyá from Ìkokò and got his freedom.
