The Ghana Medical Association (GMA) has demanded the immediate reinstatement of the suspended Chief Executive of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), Dr (Med) Paa Kwesi Aidoo, issuing a three-working-day ultimatum.
The Association also backed KATH management’s decision to temporarily suspend emergency admissions and redirect patients to other facilities, citing severe overcrowding at the Accident and Emergency Centre and concerns over patient safety.

But me, I'm not giving up. I'm sticking around to see what God will do. I'm waiting for God to make things right. I'm counting on God to listen to me.

A mother is calling on the President of Ghana, the Ministry of Health, and relevant authorities to intervene and ensure justice for her child. She explained that her son underwent emergency hernia surgery at the Koforidua Central Hospital when he was 1 year and 8 months old.
According to her, the surgery was unsuccessful, leaving the child unable to walk or speak, and he subsequently lost his sight. She added that she was forced to sell her shop and spent a significant amount of money seeking medical care for him, but all efforts to restore his health have been unsuccessful.
A week ago, something I could only dream about as a little girl became my reality.
I’m honored to share that I have graduated from @Harvard_Law with an LL.M. degree. It’s been a crazy year but God showed up for me through every obstacle and uncertainty
📍📍VOK SPOTLIGHT📍📍
Meet Jennifer Anaale Apingu, an exceptionally brilliant girl who represented Navrongo SHS at the NSMQ 2022 and worked as a porter (Kayayo) at Ejusu Market to support her SHS education.
She also worked as a drinking spot attendant to survive after completing SHS with 5A’s, 2B, and a C, due to a challenging home environment.
Her breakthrough came when some men who visited the drinking spot saw her serving as a female bar attendant in Navrongo, wearing an @NSMQGhana T-shirt. This sparked their curiosity, prompting questions because of the quiz's national popularity.
They then contacted @Manasseh_Azure through social media, where he used his birthday to gather funds and support to help her attend university and study Doctor of Pharmacy at UHAS after spending several years at home.
In the 2023/2024 academic year, UHAS recognized her in a letter dated October 21, 2024, as an outstanding student at the School of Pharmacy, following her performance in the UHAS 2024 End of Second Semester Examination.
She is now in her Level 300 year and remains one of the most inspiring students at the school.

Suaman Dadieso was the only town I knew as a kid growing up in that small village called Badu Nyame bɛkyerɛ 😂
First time I hit Accra in 2005, my village eyes nearly popped out of my head! I was straight-up hypnotized by those shiny wheel covers spinning like disco balls on every car.
And don’t get me started on the yellow branded taxis — I was moving my neck like an owl, thinking Accra was Heaven
Fast-forward 20 years… and your boy is out here in the United States of America 🇺🇸, living that “from village to villa” script!
If not the Grace of God… I would still be somewhere staring at wheel covers like they’re the eighth wonder of the world 😂🙏
In 2021, I met a little boy in Darkuman who was making toy cars out of pieces of wood.
I remember looking at him and thinking, “This child is gifted.”
But behind that gift was a painful story.
Prince Kojo was being raised by a single mother who was struggling to make ends meet. He had very little support and was enduring abuse at the hands of his stepfather. Like many children born into difficult circumstances, he had talent, dreams, and potential, but not the opportunities he needed to thrive.
By the grace of God, we took him under our care at @FTFGhana, supported his education, secured a scholarship for him to study Robotics at Asustem Robotics, and helped put him on the right path to gain admission to a TVET school, where he started studying Auto Mechanics last year.
Today, Prince Kojo is beginning a sponsored automotive training programme at the West African Vehicle Academy in Accra during his school vacation.
Sometimes I look at his journey and wonder what would have happened if nobody had stopped to care.
How many brilliant children are out there right now, full of potential but trapped by circumstances they did not choose?
Prince Kojo’s story reminds me that talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not.
And sometimes, all it takes to change a child’s life forever is one person deciding to believe in them.
Who knows what is next for him? Maybe one day he will build his own automobile company. Maybe he will design vehicles that transform the industry, or perhaps he will start his own toy car manufacturing company.
What I do know is this: his story is only just beginning.
And I could not be more proud of him. ❤️
Today, I'm asking for help for a mother who is fighting for her life.
Since February, she has been hospitalized, battling kidney complications, liver disease, and colon cancer. What has followed has been months of pain, countless hospital visits, emotional exhaustion, and overwhelming medical bills for her family.
Behind every hospital bed is a family praying for one more chance, one more breakthrough, one more day with someone they love.
Her children are doing everything they can, but they can't do it alone anymore.
If you can donate, no matter how small the amount, it would mean the world. And if you can't, please repost this. A single share could put this in front of someone who is able to help.
Please help us give this mother a fighting chance.
