People say that chemo “poisons the whole body to poison the cancer” but this kinda misunderstands the situation. Cancer cells are different…they grow and use resources differently. Chemo drugs use those differences to poison cancer cells /dramatically more/ than healthy cells.
Anyway I made the olive laurel scars 7 years ago as a bittersweet symbol for my family, my culture, and the victory of still being alive.
I hope the person who made this will realize art is about expressing oneself, creative scars hurt no one. Symbolism is important in art.
