Tonight we recognized our U SPORTS Academic All-Canadians from the 2022-23 season at the K.C. Irving Environmental Science Centre.
The All-Canadian honour roll recognizes student-athletes who achieved an academic standing of 80% or better, while participating on a varsity team.
Axewomen forward Abbey Aucoin has been named Soccer Nova Scotia’s senior player of the year for 2023.
She was recognized on Saturday as part of their annual Night of Excellence.

A huge congratulations to Axewomen Soccer’s Sydney Kennedy on being named a second team All Canadian! A extraordinary accomplishment as Sydney wraps up her university soccer career, having played both in the NCAA and U SPORTS!
The Axewomen are onto the AUS women’s soccer semifinal after a 4-1 win over the Saint Mary’s Huskies on Thursday afternoon.
Sydney Kennedy scored a pair of goals, while her sister Brenna scored one to help the No. 10 ranked Axewomen to victory.
