🚨 $533M. Four jack-ups. Four years.
Arabian Drilling landed its biggest-ever offshore award from KJO, boosting its rig count in the Saudi-Kuwaiti Partitioned Zone by 200% and pushing backlog to a record SAR18bn.
The Gulf offshore race is on 👇 #OOTT https://t.co/pGIfrsJSAq
Saudi crude through Hormuz: ~0.9M b/d in August. ~3.6M b/d in September.
That's 36–40 extra VLCCs, rates at $1.27M a day and STS transfers off Oman now taking ~10 days.
The tanker market is buckling. Here's why 👇 #OOTT https://t.co/tBRANBbPIx
Oman is opening up the map 🇴🇲
Three blocks. 30,000+ sq km. A minimum $56M exploration commitment from OQEP, including acreage in the Rub Al Khali salt basin.
What's in each block and why it matters 👇 #Oman#OilandGas https://t.co/jmW4BBMCSe
Qatari LNG is moving through Hormuz again, the most sustained traffic since early July.
Volumes are still far below pre-conflict levels. But with Europe and Asia scrambling for winter supply, every cargo counts.
What it means for gas prices 👇 #LNG https://t.co/Yh6G6XvEef
One valve. $95 million lost.
An armed group shut the Sharara–Zawiya pipeline and knocked out output at one of Libya's biggest fields. Flows are back, but the risk isn't going anywhere.
Why Libyan oil is always one incident from disruption 👇 #OOTT https://t.co/HvA8leo76s
Iraq is producing 3M+ b/d in the south but exporting only ~2.6M b/d.
Its workaround: ~250k b/d sent north to Kirkuk for Ceyhan, and now crude moved by truck.
Can the northern route really absorb more barrels? 👇 #Iraq#OOTT https://t.co/VPEmmCngt9
450+ wells. Four contracts. Three years.
SLB just won a major Aramco mandate to run well construction end to end across Saudi oil and gas reservoirs, from planning to completion.
What it signals for oilfield services in the Kingdom 👇 #Aramco https://t.co/u5dfMsOULx
Is Aramco about to carve out its gas business?
Reports say it's weighing a standalone gas division built around Jafurah and a global LNG push, with a minority listing on the table.
This could reshape how investors access Saudi gas 👇 #Aramco#LNG https://t.co/K5U3L8eJci
Three years.
That's how long QatarEnergy says repairs to two damaged Ras Laffan LNG trains will take. And there's no pipeline Plan B.
The LNG supply squeeze could outlast the Hormuz crisis itself 👇 #LNG#Qatar https://t.co/Q1DD8Fhif6
Iraq wants 10M b/d by 2030, and it's putting new acreage on the table to get there.
But in 2024, 16 blocks went unawarded and Chinese firms took most of the rest.
Can Baghdad win the majors back this time? 👇 #Iraq#OilandGas

Gulf disruptions are spreading:
Ras Tanura refinery hit, QatarEnergy halts LNG and downstream opeartions, Iraq cuts ~1.5mn b/d as storage fills, Kurdistan exports suspended, Fujairah storage tanks on fire.
This is no longer just a risk premium story. Supply losses have begun.
Hormuz disruption is turning into real supply loss. Iraq has already cut ~1.5 million b/d as exports stall and storage fills. Without tanker access, reductions could exceed 3 million b/d within days.
~15% of global oil and ~20% of LNG transit the chokepoint. Tanker traffic is stalling, insurers are pulling cover.
Brent ~$82. If flows are not restored quickly, $100+ becomes realistic.
US–Israel strikes killed Iran’s Supreme Leader; Tehran has retaliated across the GCC. Direct energy infrastructure damage remains a risk, but the far greater threat lies in the Strait of Hormuz.
QatarEnergy to stop production of LNG
Due to military attacks on QatarEnergy’s operating facilities in Ras Laffan Industrial City and Mesaieed Industrial City in the State of Qatar, QatarEnergy has ceased production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and associated products.
QatarEnergy values its relationships with all of its stakeholders and will continue to communicate the latest available information.

Jafurah is onstream. Tanajib is live.
Aramco has started production at Jafurah — the Middle East’s largest liquids-rich shale gas play — and commenced operations at the 2.6 bcfd Tanajib Gas Plant.
Gas capacity set to rise ~80% by 2030 vs 2021, targeting ~6m boe/d gas + liquids.
OQ targets 300 kboe/d by 2030, up from 230 kboe/d at end-2024. Strategy centres on domestic expansion, near-term M&A and longer-term exploration.
2025 output rose 6.9% YoY on stronger crude performance, but gas dipped. Earnings pressured by lower oil prices, net profit down 15%.
EOG says wells have been drilled in both UAE and Bahrain, with results expected in Q2 2026. Bahrain has multiple wells completing; UAE completions begin shortly, with activity weighted more heavily to the UAE given concession size. Focus is on delineation and cost reduction.
Another 16 MTPA.
QatarEnergy awards EPC for North Field West — the final leg of the world’s largest LNG expansion.
142 MTPA by 2031.
175 kboe/d liquids.
1.1 MTPA CCS.
Qatar is locking in long-term LNG leadership.
Kuwait’s KPC is in early talks over a potential $7bn stake sale in its crude oil pipelines.
Heavyweights including BlackRock, Brookfield, EIG and KKR have shown interest, alongside China’s Silk Road Fund and China Merchants Capital.
