I hear ya, my line of thinking would be that Calvin Ellis would be the guy, not Clark Kent as a black superman. Like Miles to Peter parker. A african spiderman, but not a race swap. They would choose one of those already made as African, but I guess the original argument is Clark specifically being swapped, which would also be a no for me.
I know rece swapping is a big thing these days in movies and such. But ide be fine with a black super man. We as comic fans have moved into the multiverse factor long ago, a black super man would just be another universes super man. No problem with that at all. Thing is people want a symbol that they feel represents them, and if they want that to be a comic character, who's written and drawn to be a hero, well that's a lot better than the real people role models that they currently have to choose from.
