Got stopped at BE on this one.
My best trades almost never come back for a retest once I move to break even.
If it doesn’t run after BE, it usually wasn’t the one.
happens ...onto the next:)
Your edge is not the model. It is refusing to abandon the model when it hurts.
The only reason I stay consistently profitable is that I do not tilt, and I do not go all-in, even on a bad day, a bad week, or a stretch of bad weeks.
I see it constantly on X, and with students. One red day. Two red days. Then size doubles. Rules disappear. They go all-in to “make it back.”
All-in almost never ends well. It ends in a blown account.
Even if you get lucky and it pays today, tomorrow it costs you the account. And a blown account is not only lost capital.
It costs much more :
1 .You lose faith in a model that was already proven
2. You stop trusting yourself to follow it
3.Fear replaces process
4.Fear turns into impulse
5.Impulse blows the next account faster
Let time do the work. You have to taste that yourself. Until you sit through the red days, repeat the same model, and watch it pay you later, you will not understand the fruit of it. Nobody can explain that part to you.
So red days get the same size, or no trade at all. They do not get a vote.
Stay in the game long enough, and a real edge pays you. Try to win it back in one shot, and it never does.
Never go all-in.
6 years of journaling. Hundreds of trades.
My best setups doesn't repeat in random time.
It happens in four tiny pockets after the open:
9:33–9:37
9:43–9:47
9:57–10:05
10:20–10:35
Same setups. Same rules.
Win rate in those windows: 60–70%.
The first hour isn’t one session.
It’s a sequence: opening dump, first pullback, range set, then the real move.
I stopped trading the whole hour.
I trade the minutes that actually paid me.
Trading became consistently profitable the day I stopped chasing money and stopped thinking about win rate.
I stopped asking how much I made today.
I started asking only one question: Did I find the 1 to 2 best trades of the day to execute?
That’s the entire game.
Execute better than yesterday.
Every session.
For a full month.
No scoreboard.
No counting wins.
No forcing a 3rd trade because the day, the week, or the month “needs” it.
1 to 2 best trades. Repeat. Twenty sessions.
Some months that process gave me 60–70% and huge money.
Some months only 45% and I still made money.
You don’t get to decide the size of the month.
You only get to decide the quality of the execution.
Once I tasted the fruits of that consistency, impulsiveness and greed had nowhere left to live.
Process first.
Results have no choice but to follow.
Good morning...
Saturdays are such a blessing.
When I was younger, I loathed them, simply because the markets were closed. I wake early, shuffle through the house to my usual place and enjoy the quiet stillness.
It gives me opportunity to hear from the Lord, where I can hear the constant tone in my ears, which after a short while begins to roar over the silence.
I often think of the path my life has traveled. The many people that I have had the privilege to touch and inspire. It is truly amazing, when I think about it.
My mind drifts to the markets and how I did this past week... recounting the steps each day and its engagement. I no longer punish myself, as I did in my younger years.
I know there were opportunities I didn't engage with, but I am thankful I know them and knew the setups I did take.
I wish you knew me when I was 20 years old... and could compare me with that version of me, back then. Not for reasons of emulating or copying that version of me... no.
For no other reason than to feel encouraged by the fact that a lost young man found his way.
Thank you Jesus.
Started the week with this clean Breaker + IFVG setup, taken live on stream.
When structure, displacement, and IFVG all line up, you just execute and let the market do the rest.
