coming out of hibernation here because i want to say it with my own words
don't play zashiko's x8 demake mod. it contains drm and other shady practices. absoutely unacceptable in a fangame, let alone a mod of one
check last repost for more info
So I've heard about this Zashiko Mod for #MegaMan X8 16-bit Demake and its DRM-like behavior
This is absolutely unacceptable in the fan-gaming space, particularly for a MOD of another person's FANGAME.
Time to make a small thread to spread awareness about it. (Do not play it)

5 years ago today, I created the project file for what would become Star Force 2D Engine.
In celebration, I present a historical archive of 61 builds that span all of development. Some built, most are project files. Plus early screenshots and videos.

Star Force 2D Engine has been updated to version 1.0.3. Less fixes this time, but two were significant enough to warrant a new update.
As usual, there's manual update instructions. I also included the ones from previous versions too.

Star Force 2D Engine has been updated to version 1.0.2. More bugfixes, for the most part.
Just like last time, the readme contains instructions to manually update your copy of the engine to 1.0.2.

OH WAIT before I hibernate from twitter again
Back in July, I released 1.0 of my Hydro Thunder(PC) QoL Improvement Tool!
1.1 is likely to come fairly soon, as a new patch is under testing.

now that sage24 has ended, and i've fixed all issues that i am aware of, imma go back to twitter hibernation until i return to gm81zero. won't be this year
i'll pop back up on here in the meantime to fix sf2d bugs/issues and answer questions
Star Force 2D Engine has been updated to version 1.0.1. Bug fixes, and added clarity in places. Full changelog is on the SFGHQ page.
The readme in the package contains instructions on how to manually update your copy of the engine to 1.0.1.

positive news: sf2d 1.0 is already confirmed to boot in gm studio 2! once the 8.1 specific code is removed(which i set up for easy removal)
i think you may need a working copy of studio 1 to transfer it over, but it seems porting it upwards won't be too hard!
The last version of Star Force 2D Engine under my command will be released on September 6th, at SAGE2024!
Working on this has been the most enjoyment I have ever gotten out of coding. I wanna tackle other projects in the future, though, so i've decided it's time to hand it off.
playing the social media numbers game with this account in the past did also kinda speed up my discontent with this site. i never enjoyed doing it, it got tiring very very quickly, so that's why i stopped
yo. been silent here for awhile, but there's a reason for that. ngl i should have spoke up about it sooner
a good few months ago i pretty much decided that i don't really enjoy using twitter anymore. it had been on the decline for a long time, so it was inevitable
(0/?)
while i have been working on sf2d again after motivation burned out for some time, i've just been posting to my game dev server
i will make a post here when 1.0 is ready, but that's more or less it
