@lelzking@Catholicizm1 A nonCatholic public heretic who professes a faith other than the Catholic faith is not even a member of the Church let alone pope. See Pius XII, Mystici Corporis 22. It’s not a question of “is there a warm body there?” It’s “is there a Catholic there?”
@ChadTheBad I know the question is binary (either Lutheran or Novus Ordo), but since Protestantism is defined by what it’s against (Catholicism), he’s now against Protestantism, not against Catholicism, and Novus Ordoism isn’t Catholicism, he shouldn’t be Protestant or Novus Ordo. :)
No one has a right to profess a false religion is the teaching of the Church. That a man holding to a false religion may be tolerated in so far as a greater evil be avoided is in no way akin to say one has a moral right (a freedom or liberty) to their false religion.
@Nikki0791183932@sspxcatholic1 Rome cannot teach heresy or spread it to the faithful in the way the SSPX claims. It’s an impossibility. Hence why the SSPX position doesn’t add up.
“We must prioritize freedom to practice mortally sinful religions over the capital sin that sends most people to hell”
Okay yeah, consecrate the bishops lol
@countmaculad The HoC transfers the burden of proof to the faithful. The Pope doesn't need to teach in continuity, but the faithful are obliged to interpret his teachings in continuity. This would undermine the very purpose of the Magisterium.
Leo claims that we must not let the Anglican schism, collection of heresies and invalid orders get in the way of the Catholic Church and Anglican sect;
“proclaiming Christ to the world TOGETHER”
For those wondering, this is against the Catholic faith.
