I’m single, but it’s deeper than that. Someone messed up my idea of love so badly that I haven’t felt genuinely romantically interested in anyone since. It’s not that I don’t want love. I just don’t look at people the same anymore. It’s not the breakup that changes you. It’s what the relationship teaches you about love that makes you stop wanting it altogether.
One thing I am grateful for is how I can go from limerence straight to apathy.
