It's off to the 6A Regional Finals for Melbourne after a hard fought 2-1 win over Bloomingdale in a game delayed a full day after a rainout Tuesday.
Great pitching from freshman Addison "Ding" Balavender who went 7 IP, 4 H, 1 Run, 7 Ks, 0 BB
Great defense all around like at 1B from Caylie Cote
Perfect RBI bunt single by Hailey Cottrill scored Madison Rider who had tripled with the game's first run in the 3rd
Bloomingdale got a big double from Stetson commit Marley Boucher to set up an an RBI bunt single by Chloe Mathes to tie the game at 1-1 in the 6th,
The Bulldogs answered with the go-ahead run in the bottom of the 6th when DP Charlotte Martin drew a bases loaded hit by pitch to score Layna Ayala with what proved to be the game-winning run.
Balavender slammed the door in the 7th striking out the final batter in style.
No rest for the Bulldogs who travel to No.1 Bartow tomorrow in the Regional Finals.

A perfect game on the mound and a walkoff home run to secure the 10-run rule in the 6th. In between Melbourne did what was needed to secure a 10-0 District Semifinal win vs visiting Davenport.
Freshman ace Ding Balavender threw her 5th no-hitter of the season but her first perfect game to go along with 12 Ks.
Tennessee commit Kamryn Potts finished it off with a three-run home run. Other big games for @melhighsoftball
