@MC_ANGELOz Now let’s talk about convenience in the western world. it’s simply good health and love shared amongst friends and family.
What is life with deep suffering in the atmosphere ?
Everything becomes something even when they are nothing.
A new Nigeria is Possible.
This is not just a moment of loss, it is a moment where time fractures where a mother's past, present, and future collapse into a single, suffocating reality.
The dreams she carried, the laughter she expected, the life she imagined... all now sit silently in her arms.
I’ve seen so many questions like “but we have oil, why do we have to buy at global price, Iran, US and Israel are at war but I am buying fuel at 1300 when we have crude oil in Nigeria. ”
For clarity, oil is determined by the global market, not based on where it comes from. Nigeria sells its crude oil at international rates, so even local refineries often buy it at those same global rates.
However, there’s an additional layer that people sometimes overlook. A large number of Nigeria's oil fields are not fully owned by the Nigerian government. Many are operated through JVs (joint ventures) with international oil companies like Shell, Chevron and ExxonMobil.
Those agreements were established decades ago these agreements, define who owns what share of the oil as well as how it is marketed and sold. Such long standing contracts like that cannot just be changed overnight because a new refinery like Dangote has opened.
Therefore, even if oil is extracted in Nigeria, the commercial rules and framework around it were set long before the refinery existed. That is why the real issue is not just production. It is ownership, contracts, and who controls the terms of sale. This is Just a small part of it.
I was talking with a friend who needed my help and during the discussion he said, “it’s okay if you charge me for your time.” That moment hit me, real growth starts when people around you understand your value is not free.
When I stopped trying to be the “always nice, always available” guy, it wasn’t easy at all. But once I set that boundary, things started moving faster for me and people respected me more. It doesn’t mean I don’t still help or give discounts to people I care about. But I never want to be the person people only remember when they want something free, or assume I’ll always say yes.
Your time, your energy, your knowledge they’re not charity. When the people close to you understand that, growth stops being hard and starts becoming natural.
