In commemoration of World Autism Awareness Day, Atlas Initiative is organizing a one-day capacity-building training for educators to strengthen their capacity to effectively support and include autistic leaders in mainstream classrooms.
The 2026 theme, "Autism and Humanity - Every Life Has Value", emphasizes the inherent dignity, worth, and potential of every individual, regardless of neurodevelopmental differences.
These session will equip educators with practical strategies for an inclusive classroom and promote a positive attitude towards learners with autism.
If you are a teacher or you are passionate about inclusive education, register to attend.

Millions of children in Nigeria are still out of school — not because they don’t want to learn, but because they can’t afford it.
Through the Access2School Project, we are removing these barriers and helping children stay in school.

About 10 years ago, some passionate NYSC members recognized the need to help children access basic education. This led to a back-to-school project that supported 42 children in gaining access to education. This impactful act has grown into an organization that champions sustainable development through community empowerment — @atlasinitiative
#Access2School is one of ATLAS Initiative's interventions aimed at addressing the high number of out-of-school children in Nigeria. Over the past five years, we've supported over 1000 children in marginalized communities across Nigeria.
But there is still more to do. Currently, 1 in 3 children in Nigeria are out of school: 10.2 million at the primary level and 8.1 million at the junior secondary school (JSS) level. Additionally,
12.4 million children have never attended school, and 5.9 million children left school early. These figures reflect the current reality of our nation.
This is why we are calling on all our global partners and donors to contribute to the #Access2School project through the Little by Little Campaign organized by @globalgiving
From March 17th to 20th, 2026.
This year, we aim to reach 3000 out-of-school children in Lagos, Ogun, Osun, and Oyo States in Nigeria, and we can only achieve this with your support.

Approximately 7.6 million girls are still out of school in Nigeria, and more than 50% of girls are not enrolled in basic education. Even more concerning, only 9% of girls from the poorest households can attend secondary school compared to 81% from wealthier families. These figures highlight how poverty, insecurity, and systemic failure continue to prevent millions of girls from accessing quality education.
At ATLAS Initiative, we believe that a girl’s potential should never be limited by poverty. This is why the girl child education makes up to 65% of our Access2School Project.
Through the Little by Little Campaign organized by @globalgiving , we are reaching out to more girls—particularly in marginalized and rural communities across Nigeria.
Join us from March 17th to 20th and donate to help a girl stay in school.

Traditional Leaders are custodians of customs and social values. When they openly condemn #SGBV, it sends a powerful message that violence is not culturally acceptable and must not be justified by tradition.
Our team led an advocacy visit to the palace of Olojora of Ijora — HRM Ọba (Dr). Abdulfatai Aremu Oyeyinka Aromire (Oyegbemi II).
The visit focused on how traditional institutions can support the fight against Sexual and Gender-Based Violence. This engagement is part of the ELiTE Project’s activities, in partnership with Irish Aid
We strongly believe that grassroots mobilization against #SGBV is incomplete without the involvement of traditional institutions, which are more closely connected to the people.
Atlas Initiative will continue to engage relevant stakeholders to strengthen the prevention of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence in Nigeria.
