For some people, freedom means doing whatever they want.
For others, it means having enough money to stop worrying.
Still for others, freedom means waking up without fear... speaking without pretending... having control over your time, your mind, and your direction.
Many people are free on paper but trapped by doubt, debt, addiction, approval, or circumstances.
Our definition of freedom is different because freedom is not just the absence of chains.
It is the presence of peace.
So...
At the end of the day, we are all searching for the same thing… a mind that rests, a heart that is settled, and a life that feels accomplished.
#Freedom.
One of the best things you can do for yourself is never to stop reminding yourself that you are not perfect.
We all make mistakes... We all have blind spots that others can see more clearly than we can.
So...
1. Understand that progress is the goal, not perfection... Stay teachable.
2. Stay humble... But unfuckwithable.
3. Stay growing... The greatest enemy of growth is the belief that you have already arrived.
No matter how intelligent, successful, or gifted we are… There will always be something about us we cannot see.
And that is why we judge ourselves by our intentions while the rest of the world judges us by our actions.
That gap is where many of our blind spots live and it is not something we can just hide.
So, be open to learning more about YOU from others who are “genuinely” concerned about you, because the bond you share allows them to see you from an angle you cannot see yourself.
And yes, in some situations… there are people who can explain who you are better than you can explain who you are.
Why?
You know your intentions.
They experience your actions.
You know the battles happening inside your mind.
They see the decisions those battles produce.
They notice and identify patterns quickly.
Stay teachable.
Enjoy June. ✌️
Pro-tip: If you find it hard to explain, then it’s not your best yet.
The measure of your skill isn’t how much you know, but how well you help others understand.
Construction disputes are resolved through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, adjudication, dispute review boards, expert determination, litigation, and contract-based mechanisms aimed at timely, cost-effective, and fair settlement.
OAU campus is one of the sanest environments in Nigeria. At least during my time there (2001-2006).
The only exception is when students are triggered and they are fighting injustice. That’s when they sometimes break laws.
My first five days on OAU campus, electricity did not blink for a second. That was the first time I experienced that in my adult life.
Also the only place I felt comfortable to walk 5 kilometers at 2am, even in lonely places.
Zebra crossing is also largely adhered to.
2 reasons why you lack confidence.
1- You lack the knowledge.
So you need to build it.
If you know your stuff, you will feel more confident talking about it.
2- You don’t trust yourself enough.
So, you know your stuff, but you don’t trust yourself enough to put your foot on the ground.
You can work on this too.
It’s a mindset game.
Think like you are the best and act like it.
With time, it will be obvious to everyone that you are.
Shortly after my graduation from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, I received fully funded PhD scholarships from three US universities.
I'm thrilled to start my PhD in Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Arizona, USA!🇱🇷❤️
