Listen. As a photographer, your greatest power is simple: SHOW UP.
Not for access, not for applause, but for the story. There will always be blockers, people who doubt you, rooms that resist you. SHOW UP anyway.
History doesn’t wait. It doesn’t send invites. It belongs to those who are present
The phrase “No Photography, No History” reminds us that photography is more than just capturing moments, it is preserving humanity’s collective memory. Without photography, many of the milestones, struggles, triumphs, and everyday realities of the past would have been lost to time.
On World Photography Day, I celebrate the role of photography as a universal language that documents culture, identity, and truth. From historic portraits and war-time images to photos of scientific discoveries, social movements, and personal milestones.
Photography has always given history a face and a voice. Photographs make history tangible.
Happy World Photography Day🌏
