Wasn't it to solve the Know Your Customer wahala and avoid long queues?

Even when you successfully open a commercial bank on the phone, you still need to visit a branch to make the account function properly.

God bless the brain behind the innovation of microfinance banks like Opay, Palmpay & the rest. So without them, we would still have to get on a queue just to open a commercial bank account.

of passport photograph and utility bills to open an account after waiting several hours at the bank.
