I really wish people would stop drastically using the scenarios of rape or incest as the sole premise for an abortion. A woman doesn’t have to be in a traumatic situation for it to be reason enough. In fact there is zero explanation that needs to be given.

So basically I just got swarmed by like 10-15 elementary schoolers on my way to get coffee. They started clapping while I walked by chanting “pretty girl! pretty girl!”

There’s some kind of fair happening in my neighborhood, and a bunch of students are walking around my street because of it

They love to make a big deal out of it when they see me out and about

I’ve been in Korea only 4 out of 12 months and I already have no idea how I’m going to get all the stuff I’ve bought home

Too many of us have tried to tone down our weirdness for friends or partners, only to later learn that we were suppressing the best things about us. There’s no joy like the joy of being your strange self and finding that there are people who love you for it.

I love my main school so much. My co-teacher is so wonderful. The rest of the faculty has been so kind despite the language barrier. And of course I LOVE my kids.

One of my 5th graders seems to love me despite the language barrier. Lately she shows her affection by rick rolling me. I love every second of it.

I’ve been living in Korea for over a month now and have only gone farther than the school I work at once. But today I walked to a nearby park for the first time and it’s so peaceful and nice
