Money is a tool and should be seen as a means to an end, not an identity. Detach your worth from it, because if you lost it all today, your confidence in your ability to build again should remain intact, rooted in who you are. Never subject your intrinsic value to money.
There’s a point in life where you actually move like you were meant to succeed and have all the lovely things in your life, so nothing pressures you to show off certain things. You get them and see zero need to create a perception of your worth based on (some of) what you have.
By all means, avoid the type of praise that is really a subtle shade at others. Don’t let anyone use you to fight people they are too cowardly to confront personally. The same mouth praising you today may someday use another person to indirectly attack you too.
3 years in this country and still can’t get used to booking an appointment for everything! Appointment to cut my hair, to have my oil inspection done or tires replaced, to get cleaning services or utility setup movers, etc. Everything requires an appointment.
These days, people slam “Strategic” in front of their work titles until you ask them what strategy is, or how they do it, and you hear them utter the most ridiculous things. It’s the same way people boast about adding value or being value-driven until you hear them out.

Can’t muster the courage to see the video of the man shot dead by a Nigerian policeman. I skip it every time it shows in my feed. Not letting anything mess with my mental health.
