@tokertim@JaredSturman23@TheWarriorsTalk The podz hate is a bit much but he is not good enough to hold off from making a contending level trade. A warriors championship parade is not gonna have his ass on the parade bus.
@MindHumongous@TheMan0fTheMole@alextheballller @mikeygrogins_ @KOT4Q The north east division(Sixers, raptors, Knicks, nets, Celtics) all have fanbases that donโt like each other but the nba fails to market those rivalries and rather relies on lakers Celtics.
@MindHumongous@TheMan0fTheMole@alextheballller @mikeygrogins_ @KOT4Q The only way the nba can fix this issue is by leaving behind the idea of marketing player rivalries and start making this about the teams and fan bases. That way in 20+ years when the roster changes the rivalry is still there.
@TheMan0fTheMole@alextheballller @mikeygrogins_ @KOT4Q Because the nba markets marquee matchups as x player vs x player. When the warriors play the grizzlies the nba markets it more as Ja vs Curry. besides the nba doesnโt have the history the other sports have to bolster these historic rivalries.
@Dubs408 The nba is still considered young compared to most sport leagues so the fact that they were able to land a rivalry only 20 years into its inception is impressive.
@stoudt_justin @BeGotGame2@Three_Cone@ipodkillz It creates a dynamic where once one of those teams players leave, the rivalry sort of dies. Unlike the NFL where team rivalries are strong regardless of the roster.
@stoudt_justin @BeGotGame2@Three_Cone@ipodkillz Thatโs the only current division rivalry that I can think of rn. But another problem is that unlike the NFL and MLB, the nba doesnโt market the teams but rather the players. Anytime thereโs a marquee game, the nba markets it like Ja vs Curry, or Jokic vs Embiid
