Sunday Igboho Visits Deserted Owa-Onire as Locals Blame Fulani Bandits for Empty Community
Chief Sunday Igboho toured Owa-Onire in Kwara State, where the palace, schools, churches and mosques stood empty. Residents and hunters in the area said the community was abandoned after repeated attacks by Fulani bandits.
The Yoruba people were a martial race. They socially reengineered us into a people who now see joining the military as a past time.
We have been formatted into another thing entirely.
Update on Sunday Igboho’s Visit to Kwara State
Bandits must either surrender and live peacefully within the law or leave our forests. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared them criminals because of the atrocities they have committed in these forest areas.”
— Sunday Igboho
According to Obidients,
A Yorùbá that supports someone from another ethnicity in Nigeria is an Ọmọlúwàbí and the one that supports someone from his own ethnicity is a BIGOT 😅🤣
They wanted him dead and renounced but they cannot understand his popularity.
Tompolo did not boomerang.
CJTF did not boomerang but Iru Ekun will boomerang????
No solutions but big grammar and sitting behind the office desk while towns and cities are being destroyed by terrorists.
TANTITA is securing oil and gas but Iru Ekun will boomerang?
Majority of those who want Sunday Igboho destroyed are three;
1. Those who want Sharia law in Yorubaland; they fear he is symbol of Yoruba nationalism and a militant threat to their agenda.
2. Political buccaneers; People who fear that his popularity might affect their chances in Yorubaland politics.
3. Those who fear that Sunday Igboho might organise the Yoruba people in Kogi and Kwara against Arewa hegemony.
When Ijaw militants were wiping out Yoruba people in Ondo state? Where were people like you? What sort of diabolical behaviour is this?
Is it the Nigerian navy that is guarding pipelines in the Niger delta?
Our lands have been overrun by terrorists and you don’t want the government to use all help it can get?
So the CJTF fighting ISIS have boomeranged?????
Yoruba people and Ote!!!!!
Special thanks to all our volunteers especially the elderly women who joined the environmental sanitation exercises.
We hope and pray if Olodumare gives us the capacity, we will like to be in all the local government of Lagos state in the next couple of months.
The support from the Local Government and our people have been immense.
To all TYF and IDERA members both home and abroad who planned, funded and organised this project, may Almighty bless all.
N:B- This project is not a government gig. It was ordinary people who sponsored and organised this project.
Ese pupo 🙏🏾
"The Yorubas hate the Ibos too much."
But every day, all of you keep leaving your homes to live among the same people you claim hate you.
If the hate is your problem, why can't you stay in your Southeast?
It is not the job of the Yoruba people to love you or make you happy.
Palace Representative Blasts Okey-Joe Over Marginalisation of Yoruba in Isolo
A representative of the Osolo Palace in Isolo criticised Hon. Jesse Okey-Joe Onuakalusi, saying he continues to receive complaints and reports from Yoruba residents who feel excluded from the benefits of representation.
"The Yoruba people you represent are not benefiting from anything. If there is any benefit at all, it is only one or two. Complaints keep coming in from the people. We are not asking for envelopes," he said, calling for fairness, inclusion and greater engagement with the indigenous Yoruba community and the traditional institution.
He's an idiot... not a pastor. That's a deceiver of the brethren. A liar and a destructive man
There's no God in this fat clown called Olumide. And he is lying through his teeth because of tithes & offerings he wants to get
Jesus warned about wolves in sheep clothing like him
A lot of gallant OPC members fell at Ganmo that day.
This is why I will never join anybody to denigrate Iba Gani Adams. Most of the people uttering nonsense in the public about that generation of OPC did not understand what they did for the Yoruba people in Lagos, Sagamu, Ilaje and in Kwara state.
He has paid his dues in the past.
“My relatives, I will not be afraid of you; I had better tell you this. Whoever gets kidnapped in the bush and is later released will say it was Fulanis who kidnapped him,” he said.
“So, you should warn your children who are in the bush to return so that we can live peacefully. There is no way people can be kidnapped and made to pay ransom without expecting them to be angry with you.
“People are angry with Fulanis. No one is stopping you from grazing, going to school, or staying peacefully, yet you know your children are doing bad things to people. Even if they are not caught, you will eventually face the consequences.”
I believe the time has come for us to openly advocate for a Yoruba Nation. The Yoruba homeland is vast, historically significant, and deeply rooted in its identity. From the southwest and beyond, our people have long occupied and influenced large territories including the area that is now the capital of Kogi State.
As omoluabi, we should never be ashamed to speak confidently about our history, our land, and our future.
Oworo People Reject Misidentification, Reaffirm Their Okun Yoruba Heritage
"We are Oworo, not Kabba. People often mistake us for them, but we are Okun Yoruba. Lokoja is our ancestral homeland."
The declaration comes as the Oworo people reaffirm their Yoruba identity and heritage while calling attention to what they describe as the historical identity of Lokoja's indigenous inhabitants.
Lokoja Aboriginals Reaffirm Oworo Yoruba Identity
"We are Oworo, not Kabba, though people often mistake us for them. We are Okun Yoruba and the indigenous people of Lokoja. Lokoja is our ancestral homeland."
The statement has renewed conversations about the history, identity and indigenous heritage of the Oworo people, one of the Okun Yoruba groups in Kogi State.
