Genuine question, not an attack…
Was Adam and Eve’s story about unforgiveness, or does it teach that forgiveness doesn’t always cancel the consequences of our actions?
Is forgiveness supposed to erase consequences?
Because in the very first story of the Bible, the consequences remained, even if you believe God still loved them.
Thinking out loud though
Christians preach forgiveness all the time. But here’s something I’ve been thinking about.
If God forgave Adam and Eve, why were they still driven out of the Garden of Eden, cursed, and why are the consequences of their actions still affecting humanity today?

Drink soda? They’ll say it’s killing you, Drink alcohol? They’ll say it’s poisoning you, Take agbo? They’ll say it’s unsafe, Have sex? They’ll call it fornication. Don’t have sex? They’ll call it prostrate cancer . At this point, what exactly are we allowed to enjoy?
Serious question:
Should the dream of the average Nigerian youth in 2026 be to build billion dollar companies or to aspire to sell akara, roasted corn, and kuli-kuli?
Let’s have an honest conversation.
