A great achievement deserves more than an announcement.
For Codix Bio, we turned a major milestone into strategic storytelling that strengthened brand positioning, thought leadership, visibility, and collaboration.

Because building for decades takes more than a good idea.
It takes consistency, resilience, strong partnerships, and the willingness to adapt while staying true to the vision.
#ThursdayLookBack#BrandpodMedia
Today, we celebrate the founders and builders who turned ideas into businesses, businesses into institutions, and institutions into legacies.
They started in a different world and kept evolving with it.

A few days ago, my first peer-reviewed article was finally published in the American Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences Research, and it feels great.
The paper is titled "Energy Price Inflation, Exchange Rate Volatility, and Food Price Inflation in Nigeria: Evidence from a Vector Error Correction Model, 1987–2024."
It started as my postgraduate research at Babcock, and converting it into a journal article meant going back through my own work and finding things I had gotten wrong the first time. That part was humbling. It also made the paper better.
The topic matters right now because subsidy is very much on the ballot for 2027.
The study does not directly answer whether the subsidy should return as @atiku has proposed or remain removed, as the @officialABAT administration argues. That question is about fiscal cost, leakage, and who actually benefits, and none of those are in my model. I was careful about that.
The paper supports the point that energy price inflation is the dominant channel through which cost pressures reach food prices. And in Nigeria, energy is largely a naira story, because we import refined fuel priced against dollar-denominated crude. The currency reaches the market through the pump.
That leads to my main recommendation: target energy costs where they actually enter the food chain, not at the pump generally. Agricultural haulage, processing energy, cold storage, rural distribution. Supporting those points engages the same channel at a fraction of the fiscal exposure of universal price support.
The harder part is not the economics. It is delivery. Explicit ceilings, appropriation through the budget rather than off-balance-sheet arrangements, published beneficiary criteria, independent audit. Our subsidy history shows that the mechanism can be sound even when the delivery fails.
Grateful to everyone who read drafts and pushed back.
