It is a kind request to the GOI to arrange for some kind of accommodation for the students temporarily as they wait to cross the border. The frequency and services of plying buses requires to be better to have an efficient evacuation, given that more students keep arriving there.

Contacts being circulated over social media to call at the border are absolutely useless. None of them respond to calls or messages. There is no proper information being conveyed to the stranded at the border. They are hopelessly waiting for their turn to get a way back home.

The Ukrainian side of Siret border has absolutely no basic amenities for the students there to survive the cold. The least we request for is some basic shelter, food and water until the authorities are ready to let them across the border to return to their respective homes.

Students being sent across the border in groups of 20-30 when a bus arrives for pick-up, and that's only twice a day. People have been waiting for two days standing in the cold, spending sleepless nights without food or water while we enjoy the warmth and comfort of our homes.
