Men are leaving divorcees and widows to marry young girls that are finer or have better bodies than their wives, yet their only defense is “polygamy is halal and a sunnah”. Why not copy the sunnah exactly how it was done? Help abandoned women and children, no society abandons…
I’m really proud of women of this era who refuse to suffer in silence. Hafsat Kamal spoke up about what she has been going through, and that does not make her a hypocrite or a liar. If she had chosen to leave her marriage quietly, the same people criticizing her today would be the first to say, “ta ki zaman aure.” She talked about the weight she lost, her health challenges, her education, and the sacrifices she made for the sake of her marriage. No woman deserves to endure depression or emotional pain in silence just to please society.
She also shared screenshots and evidence on her Instagram page, including allegations involving Hadiza Gabon and other women she believes were connected to the issues in her marriage. If she has evidence, then people should allow the matter to be addressed fairly instead of sending people to attack or harass her.
Some co-wives can be very wicked, and some men can be unfair. Rather than rushing to judge her, people should try to understand her pain and what led her to speak out.
I sympathize with Hafsat and pray Allah grants her strength, peace, and justice. Every woman deserves to be heard.
She sends you to her room:
Go and bring my bag.
You: Which bag, Mummy?
Her: The one there
You get there and see 10 bags.
If you pick the wrong one, you have successfully invited a 45-minute lecture on how you lack focus in life😂😂
And if there is any object close to her hand, she will launch it straight at your head
Today I learned that Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahulla) never married. It made me reflect on how Allah writes a different story for each of us; some leave behind children, others leave behind knowledge that lives for centuries🥹
