This war was only ever going to end two ways
1. Go full tilt and take out the regime with ground troops which could keep us in a Middle East conflict that could last a decade
2. Take a bad deal and put lipstick on it
Iโm happier itโs 2 I guess
Administration has settled on "no money will exchange hands" as way to paper over unfreezing assets and Iranian oil sales, and "at an appropriate time" as way to paper over lack of agreement to remove HEU. This deal is going to test Trump's salesmanship even with his own base.
No regime change
No nuclear material removed
Billions in sanctions relief
Israel handcuffed in Lebanon
Iran's knowledge it can now control the Strait-possible tolling fee
All it cost us was 13 dead Americans, dozens injured, 31 billion dollars, and 3 months of $5.00 gas prices
Ending the war as soon as possible is the best outcome left, but the truth is Trump accomplished none of his goals and lost the war to Iran. Iran's nuclear program is not eliminated, nor are its ballistic missiles. But Iran now knows it can crater the global economy at any time.

Pretty terrible loss for the Diamondbacks, who received a gem from Soroka but went 0-for-8 with RISP.
Nolan Arenado and Pavin Smith went 0-for-8 from the 4-5 spots in the lineup, with Smith leaving four runners in scoring position with two outs alone.
