@CarcinogenSDA @amidnightmedium I've only ever done Professional on NG+ and even with my several playthroughs of upgrades, severely struggle with the gauntlet of the the Novistador ballroom + double Garrador room. The thought of going through those on a fresh file makes me shudder.

@CarcinogenSDA @amidnightmedium Insanity in Requiem forced me to engage with enemy behavior and stealth mechanics in a way that Classic never forced me to. Has a few things that are BS but I actually had fun on Insanity.

@wxnterfell @VantaBlackOasis @Novawaxcap @ijbolyuri REmake 2 is my favorite RE and in my top 10 favorite games of all time.

That said, the Remake made choices in boss placement and interactions between Leon and Claire that made the canon story fuzzy like RE1 and made the campaigns samey when in OG they weren't.

@CarcinogenSDA I'm nearing the end of Insanity and I feel especially in there, the Tyrant and Hunk were the big "learn to parry, IDIOT 🖕🏽" filters. It's likely designed to be easier by necessity cause yes, you definitely HAVE to in 9.

@CarcinogenSDA They're mechanically similar, but which would you say "feels" most consistent? If it's based upon the active frames of the attack hitting during the "weapon raise" animation, it sounds like which is "better" depends on how much jank there is in enemy animations in that game.

@CarcinogenSDA Funny you use that example, cause I was able to parry much of the time in 9 but can probably count on my fingers how many times I've (purposefully) parried in OG 3. Maybe I need to try OG 3 again but could just be a skill issue 😭
