ive loved Porsha this entire season, but i genuinely dont understand how so many ppl are missing the game she’s playing.

Porsha is playing reality TELEVISION.
while Shamea is playing REAL life.

i actually understand why Porsha didn’t want Shamea on #RHOA. Porsha basically made it known OFF CAMERA that this was HER thing & if Shamea came on here & overshadowed her, the friendship was essentially over. that’s like being the star employee at your company for 15 years, then your spouse or bestie gets hired into your department doing the exact same job. now every promotion, every compliment, every award, every opportunity is automatically being compared between the two of you. that’s a different kind of pressure than supporting somebody from a completely different field. & lets not act like fans wasnt LIVING for Shamea them first few eps & s16 wasnt centered & marketed arnd HER friendships. HUGE blow to Porsha’s ego, someone whose not use to playing the supportive best friend.

the irony, however, is overshadowing has literally been Porsha’s M.O. for years.

this is the same woman who rushed to get pregnant to overshadow her own sister’s pregnancy, to skipping Shamea’s wedding w a bullshit excuse, to lying on Kandi multiple times, to whooping Jamie in an alley, to stealing that lady’s husband, to how she treated her own cousin Lonnie… Porsha BEEN Williams.

so the friendship fell apart the moment SHE felt what she normally dishes out.
& here’s where tv experience comes in…

Porsha first expressed how she felt OFF CAMERA. then her ON CAMERA actions reflected that distance.

Shamea, on the other hand, experienced the rejection OFF CAMERA, felt the tension ON CAMERA, and then VENTED about it off camera but it was brought up ON CAMERA w the rest of the cast. Strike One.

that’s the difference.

the audience got to SEE Shamea’s hurt.
they didn’t get to SEE Porsha create it.

so naturally Shamea becomes “obsessed,” “bitter,” and “can’t let it go,” while Porsha gets to keep her hands clean because she’s a 15-year reality TV veteran who knows exactly how to hide her hand and stay publicly PC.

then it gets even more unfair.

Porsha and Shamea spent last season tag-teaming people together. now Porsha has made up with damn near everybody they were beefing with (for tv, to keep the show moving)… but Shamea is STILL left carrying those fractured relationships because SHE took on all of Porsha’s beefs trying to prove loyalty. Strike two.

from Shamea’s perspective, imagine watching your best friend make peace with everyone except YOU. of course there’s resentment. of course there’s no closure.

now add interviews into it.

interviewers let Porsha talk about whatever she wants because she has 15 years of Housewives history. Shamea is just a small chapter in Porsha’s reality TV journey.

Shamea doesn’t have that luxury.
for 15 years she’s been known as “Porsha’s best friend,” and for the last two seasons their friendship HAS BEEN her primary storyline.
so of course every interviewer asks her about Porsha. Strike Three.

then people turn around and say, “why does Shamea always talk about Porsha?”

because that’s LITERALLY what she’s being asked about, and because the friendship never actually got resolved for HER.

that’s why i keep saying…

Porsha is playing reality TV.
Shamea is playing real life.

and when one person understands the assignment of reality television while the other is still looking for real life closure, the person playing the game almost always comes out looking cleaner.

all this debate & chatter when ultimately Porsha & Shamea were just two City Girls with a SURFACE friendship who bonded over being outside & hoeing.
