Yes of course but it is interesting that the burden is on me to validate fraudulent data with an alternative dataset. Here's one study which does exactly that, compares global average temperature anomaly with 120 weather stations in continuous operation for more than 100 years and in rural locations eliminating heat island effect. Something the scientists at U. of Maine should have absolutely done but chose not to. Look, there may in fact be some warming going on. It is really hard to tell though with so much fraudulent analysis. I know it's unnerving to think this is going on. I wish it were not to be honest.

Wow, that's an intimidating looking chart. You must be really big smart. But of course so called "good science" welcomes being challenged and should never be offended by it. And this dataset has many problems. First of all, it is not actual temperature data, but rather computer modeled factoring in multiple data sources. Even in the fine print associated with it states very clearly "Any apparent record high or low daily temperatures estimated by ERA5 should be considered with caution and validated against weather station observations and other climate data products." Seriously why not just validate it against actual weather station data? It's not that hard. When you put a dataset like this in front of public you are obligated to conduct such validation not just suggest we do it. And of course there have been studies done comparing global temperature anomaly data with actual continuous weather stations and it shows significant discrepancies. Any time you introduce an algorithm and report it in a misleading way suggesting it is in fact actual temperature data . . . huge red flag. It's unfortunate really, we hear day in and day out big oil funding "climate denier" research, but in reality governments spend a lot more on research and it is all contingent on outcome. So with this investment we get many fraudulent charts like this which look very credible but when you dig down into how they are derived, there are lots of problems which always skew in one direction. Otherwise, funding is lost.
