Today, I did some aerial photogrammetry from a plane!
Due to the cabin being tight and my cam’s viewfinder disp. not rotating, i had to get clever. Using the HDMI input on my @FatsharkRC FPV goggles, I had a clean feed of my camera, which worked super well!
This is how I'd fix the iPhone Duo's ridiculous sidebar. I call it Twin Islands.
Two little glass bars: one around the camera for statuses, one at the bottom for app controls.
Apps get the full width of the screen. Controls stay under your thumb. Thoughts?
@Flanz111@RandomGTAFan To me it doesn’t feel the same. 120 fps 2D gameing in the steam frame doesn’t feel like 120fps on a monitor.
Not sure what it is because the steam frame’s panel is quite good with motion clarity so it’s not that
Few observations when going from steam frame -> steam deck
- 90 fps feels like 90 fps
- OLED is beautiful
- controller ergonomics are prime
- battery drain while streaming is incredible
Took this one step further.
Vibe coded my own TV OS with Claude Code
No more ads: replaced with a live 3D model of my apartment. Lights + ceiling fan wired in, they turn on in the 3D in real time.
The TV inside the 3D shows the live TV 🤯
What should I add next?
@squiddymute Both devices were streaming from my 4090 gaming pc. My point is about the form factor and experience of playing the same 2D game streaming to either Steam device
@DeeJzNuts Eh, sorta. The calibration helps the accuracy but not by that much. It also isn’t great across sessions, due to the headset sitting differently every time

@pkuhar Ok yours has very nice features. If it’s replacing the battery icon, does it also have the toggles to switch from high power/low power modes that the default battery icon has? I use that quite often
