Ok, so I’m imagining a book, a legendary tome written on indestructible paper, and the writings on each page are legible to absolutely anyone, regardless of their own spoken language — even the illiterate. Do you believe a god could make such a book? Why or why not?
@RandomBunnyTalk Thank you. Apologies for my language; I do respect your right to commit to any even ancient practice you wish (thank you for teaching me)so long as people dont get hurt. I respect you & your practice, Bun, & im hopeful for the globe to stay wonderfully diverse! 😊
@MarkS26th@GodlessEngineer Homophobia sounds horribly more present in places such as Germany, Russia, Kazakhstan, & Indonesia, but the USA still has its struggles with such as the bans on conversion therapy being questioned.
@MarkS26th@GodlessEngineer Simply for you havent personally witnessed far from grants innocence to society for any degree of discrimination that has been in society. The people you know sound pleasant & grant hope for better than has been in society, but hommophobia still persists.
@RandomBunnyTalk Gods are personifications of forces of nature imagined by ancient people for illusion that they could negotiate for their own safety. In the modern day, with the growing understandings achieved through science, gods have shrunk down to aspects such as general luck & death.
@MarkS26th@GodlessEngineer If Christians express hatred for homosexual individuals & the act itself, then why declare it not homophobia? Modern Christians in the west aren't legally allowed to kill someone of their prejudice, but if laws are the only protection, is it really much better faith?
@patprendergast3@___TheGOOdWitch No gospel was written by an eyewitness. The earliest came decades after the supposed crucifixion, and without even any firsthand accounts, why trust any human-written piece as proof of its own incredible claims?
@patprendergast3@___TheGOOdWitch Sure, people can be emotional in their acceptance or denial of a claim, but regardless, there lays no proof to say that the god of any ancient, manmade faith (even if its your favorite)is true to the point we must outrught ignore logic.
@MarkS26th@GodlessEngineer Homophobia is still very present within Christianity—
Thankfully, Christians today are mostly milder than more religion-bound governments. But still, why ignore the horrors still exuded by many Christians today?
@patprendergast3@___TheGOOdWitch Nothing truly undoubtedly objective exists to say Jesus existed. I do recall reading of Roman-made graffiti mocking ancient Christians, but the dated range for the creation of this drawing was 150-200 years after the supposed crucifixion.
@patprendergast3@___TheGOOdWitch Tacitus is an example of a good source, certainly better than any biblical claim itself. That said, he himself was born year 56 CE, the only near proof of the existence of Yeshua are the bible itself. Where are claims from actual witnesses themselves?
